There is no single "best" show, only a collection of genre favorites that aren't organized by actual quality. Seinfeld will always be my #1 sitcom, even though I also really love Arrested Development but both aren't in competition with The Simpsons or Archer because you can't really compare them in a meaningful way. That said, both seasons of Fargo are probably the "best" shows in my recent memory - but I'm heavily biased towards Fargo since the movie is probably my favorite film period.
