I was 9 years old when The Incredibles came out. It was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. My dad would come home from some insane shift at the hospital and he'd put on the movie and sit with us and watch. My little sister and I started getting up at like 6am so we could see him and watch the movie together before going to school. It was relatable, too. My twin sister (technically older) was a bitchy emo chick, I was an annoying athletic brat, my dad was a disillusioned workaholic, our mom gave up her career to be a housewife...it was really a movie for us. We love it so much.

I just think it's kind of funny that they slipped so many dark scenes into a "family movie". In a lot of ways, it's darker than some movies that are rated R.
