"Super 8" captures a lot of the same feels as Stranger Things, only a little more light-hearted and an obviously bigger budget.

>Stephen King + Steven Spielberg story
>Kids go on an adventure

Stranger Kids has the ensemble of kids as nerds, but Super 8 has the kids being amatuer (but still nerdy) filmmakers, which is really neat to see.

I definitely recommend.

A shame they moved the shooting location from Vancouver to LA
