Even back during it's early run, people thought of it as "boring" because the humor wasn't gross out, slapstick, "edgy" shit like Family Guy and the Simpsons became.

A show about a stable, hetero, Christian, middle-class, white family in the south with subtle humor and usually a sorta feel good ending probably wouldn't fly today. I imagine reddit and jezebel would tear it to shreds and it would get cancelled 5 episodes in.

Sucks because I consider it the comfiest animated show of all time. Any time I need some background noise or something, I know I can always pop in one of my old KOTH dvds.

Hank is too dynamic. He's not a caracture conservative redneck that Hollywood loves to make. He's has traditional values but learns from his mistakes. How left all the studios have become, I think they would make the show too political and hank a strawman.
