Not that impressed with Doughboys so far. It's funny, but not HH level funny. Going to listen till Rockdoughberfest, then call it quits if it doesn't improve.
>>79029738
Haven't listened to this yet, from what I've heard it sounds like Chapo crossed with Sam Hyde (Chapo's politics with MDE's uncomfortably weird delivery). Worth a listen? I like Chapo and think Hyde is occasionally amusing

What are the good Hollywood Handbooks other than these?
When this show isn't clicking it's tortuous to listen to
>>79031092
half of it is sincerely unironically reviewing fast food, still find Mitch and Wiger funny though
>>79031204
Sinbad of all people killed it when he was on
>>79031230
yeah, the food reviewing doesn't really appeal to me, since I'm not a fat American
>>79031204
>show isn't clicking
EH WRONG
It always clicks (for me). Even when the guest is a dud, Sean and Hayes can play off each other.
Also, I'd rec the engineer episodes.
Chapo
>>79029166
Whats worse are the episodes that the guest tries to be in on their gimmick.
Gotta have a straight man in order to keep it funny.

I thought CBB in 2016 was bad, but 2017 has been even worse.
>>79031736
>>79031811
Are those tits CGI? Why does it look so wonky?
>>79028873
Hollywood handbook is top tier podcast. It's for learning it's for laughs it's fun and good
>>79031204
The previous 2 before this weeks were great. Joe Wengert and then Jon Gabrus.
Any of the episodes where Sean or Hayes are in NY such as Big Apple Bible, any Engineer episodes such as Cody and Kevin, Our Facebook Friends.
My favorite episode was "Friends, Our Close Friends" #119
>>79031771
dude what, we're only like a few episodes into the year and the matt besser and most recent one were fantastic.
This is honestly kinda bizarre seeing earwolf stuff on /tv/. I figured most of this place would hate alt comedy type stuff.
>>79031771
I liked a lot of 2016, but the eps so far have been disappointing. I fucking hate that jeff rowley guy. Had to stop listening to this weeks ep

The recent Alex Jones episode of JRE is the best episode of the last 4 years. It has everything including a dangerous dose of red pills.
>>79031956
If his jokes about Trump were funny, I would still be listening.
Its no wonder all of his good guests bailed on him, and now he is stuck with UCB 2nd rates that only show up on the off chance Scott will cast them in his fuckin TV show

I will say the ep after inauguration was annoying, but he kept it fairly non political. His character liking trump was as far as it got. As far as guests go, he gets newer people to showcase them, not out of desperation
>>79032026
>it's a /pol/cuck tries to use the "i only don't like it cuz the jokes aren't funny" episode
He pretty much only makes a politics joke if one of the guests brings it up. If you're gonna get mad at anyone for doing that then get mad at Paul F Thompkins.
And the tv show's over you fag.
>>79032026
>guests bailed on him

>>79032135
>What is Bajillion Dollar Properties
I stopped listening to PFT long ago, his podcast is basically 90 minutes of him laughing at everything.
Also, Scott brings it up any chance he gets. Like 3 weeks ago he made a "Grab em by the pussy" joke out of the fucking blue.
>>79032029
It's because ming is a good character poorly paired and used most of the time. He has an excellent mix of straight guy and anti-comedy with occasional splashes of absurdism but most of the time it's like adding salt to white bread.
He has to be properly paired and then he enhances other people's performances.
Anyway this year has been shit. I'm mad that thic jewfu tried to do a character and had to exit on lapkus latest episode because the second hand embarassment was too powerful when she started backing herself into the corner of an unfunny bit.
Horatio and Benny are always fuckin good though the latest solo bolo was a bit of a letdown. Last year had some great eps, still looking forward to seeing what comes out this year.
CBB fans know the best episodes tend to happen later in the year anyway. Sad scott's show is done and that earwolf jewed everything older behind a paywall.
>>79032029
>The shit with the car contest during the christmas episode had me dying.
Oh shit I forgot about that. KINO

>No Last Podcast on the Left
What the fuck are you even doing with your life??? Top Hat is alright. I liked that they tried to promote third party candidates during the election but Marcus shilling for hillary like either choice was sane (or even mattered) even though he's supposed to be a conspiracy nut kind of pissed me off.
>>79032186
I normally don't get triggered by social justice stuff, but I feel like Justin really hams up his SJW act to make up for his stereotypically gay character.
CBB was best from 2012-early 2015.
>>79032222
>Scott brings it up any chance he gets.
>he made one joke three weeks ago
If you can't reconcile the fact that comedians are going to occasionally make jokes about our current president being on record saying the phrase "grab her by the pussy" then I don't know what to tell you.
And he mainly gets people who have already been cast in Bajillion, and most of them have been solid. Scott has openly said that he likes giving a platform to new comics to freshen everything up.
>>79032186
>TFW your autism forces you to listen to the entirety of MBMBaM before listening to The Adventure Zone so you don't miss any jokes

Wizard the Bruiser is pretty good too. Usually don't know what they're talking about, but Holden McNeely is the funniest of the bunch on cave comedy
>>79032390
I was giving an example from 3 weeks ago, but he will reference Trump at least twice an episode.
>>79028873
We're now on itunes, and would appreciate a listen/feedback
>>79032394
If you're going full autismo: listen to The Besties if you haven't already. Top Tier
>>79032406
Wizard and the Bruiser is nice, but difficult to listen to if you are more knowledgeable on the subject than they are and IIRC a lot of it is entry level geek ephemera.
I also get pissed when people hold back on a joke or skirt certain crass elements. Like oh we can make jokes about child murder but hong kong henry is out. Seems to be happening more on CCR's shows and just comedy in general.
Though I can't begrudge them for it- I have friends in art circles and the social police/shame culture is apparently just absolutely overwhelming.
The other day my friend apologized for saying "Oh your mom doesn't seem like the type of person to drink a lot" because 'he wasn't sure if it was misogynist'. I'm really getting tired of this current cycle of zeitgeist.
I prefer my counter-culture crass and provocative and (socially/culturally) dangerous. Not this shit. Not like this.
>>79032598
oh no. why have you done this to me. theres too much podcast in the world already
>>79032738
Listening to four year old review of video games is really a level of wizardness that I really look up to.
Fuck, I'm almost getting teary eyed remembering the 2012/2013 episodes about Journey. Fuck. That group was brilliant.
>>79032626
Thats why I'm a bigger fan of Roundtable of Gentleman, they don't really skirt those jokes cause Kevin Barnett doesn't really care about racial humor at all. Jackie Zebrowski and Ed Larson are usually pretty quick to pull the trigger on racy humor
>>79031204
the only episode of this show i ever disliked was brandon wardell. Usually even if the guest is bad its still a great listen just because sean and hayes are so talented

Sword and Scale is the superior true-crime podkino.
History podkino.
It's half English history starting VERY early and half etymology of English words. It shows what was going on in history that explains why some English words come from Germanic, Norse, French, Latin, etc.
