what are the best high school movies?
Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Dazed and Confused
Fast Times
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Heathers
Mean Girls
Grease
Superbad
There, now be creative and think of movies that aren't these.

Summer School
Heathers
Dazed and Confused
Brick
The New Guy
>>79017073
American Pie is my favorite. But, of course, it came out when I was in High School.
Still makes me laugh like a goon, though.
not a movie but Freaks and Geeks captures it well
Not a movie, but Degrassi will always be best
Highschool High
Class of Nukem High
Cooley High
The Craft
Election
Over The Edge. That might have been middle school though come to think of it.

I dunno, none of them? >>omfg being popular!! We have to be popular!! There are jocks and nerds and cheerleaders and a football team
Why do people even watch trash films like these >>79017138 ? They're cool when they have some crazy scifi element like Back to the Future but otherwise no.
>>79017333
superbad and mean girls aren't anything like what you described. yes, there are cheerleaders and jocks but those two films aren't about that. they're about breaking stereotypes and being good comedies. the fact that they're in a high school barely matters, because the jokes are top notch.

Freaks and geeks was comfy and entertaining, but hardly realistic. It's near impossible to capture. Real bullying etc is too subtle to make for good tv/movies, you have to feel it
How the fuck has nobody said 10 Things I Hate About You yet?
That's arguably the best.

>movie that couldnt be made today
>>79018558
Nope.
Adventureland is a much better film. You're probably just a 3/10 so you relate to the main character of WWB more.
>>79019559
>implying Adventureland didn't have a 3/10 as well
Aside from the obvious, ones, I'd argue that Edge of Seventeen will be a genre classic.
Adventurland is a college film
>>79018558
The way way back is a great film, anyone who says otherwise is a dumb piece of shit
>>79017073
Three O' Clock High
