Was it kino or just old fashioned spectacle?

mostly spectacle, but really well done
it's was the longest 90 minutes i ever had the misfortune of sitting through.
Should've just been a 15 minute short.

What force was supposed to be acting on Clooney when he said he was pulling her away from the ISS? So fucking dumb
>>79014654
Plot force
>>79014654
momentum
its shit
movie was a piece of trash, maybe less
no definitely less
I want my 18.50 back

You could argue that it was centrifugal force.
The ISS spins on as it orbits, in order to keep the "bottom" of the station facing the Earth. Regardless it was highly exaggerated for dramatic effect.
The movie was good spacecraft porn, but the actual physics and orbital mechanics weren't at all realistic.

Tidal. An object orbiting closer needs to be travelling faster to keep from decaying inward. Further slower to keep from escaping. This is the force that "locks" the moon within its perfect 1:1 rotation:orbiting.
All that being said the tidal force acting on 100kg would be extremely small at that distance, but still technically present.
I'd say it was a pretty good flick. Very good looking.

Not bad, well acted, but BORING.
