This legit pisses me off. Fellowship looks beautiful, was shot on film, and has good special effects for the time. TFA on the other hand looks average, was shot on film, and has effects all over the place in quality (the cgi characters are complete shit) while also being a mediocre product.
It's impressive how a less expensive movie looks better than one of the most expensive movies ever made.

I was in US Navy and people rotated in and out all the time. Seemed like every 3-6 months we were getting someone new and someone else was shipping off to a new PDS. I didn't have a core consistent group since Field Med school, then A school then boot.. but one of the things that interferes being able to get in contact with each other is shit, we used nicknames and boot camp names instead of real names, and when we did use real names it was just last names usually.. The other thing was.. like I said, social media was just not a thing. When I do remember a name I do try to look it up, I have found a few people but not many. I've found out that a few of the people I really liked and hung out with died which definitely puts a damper on trying to find others.

Royal Norwegian Air Force. Was stationed on a tiny base with around 150-200 people. It was very casual between the soldiers and officers, but security was tight and the base was isolated so you ended up becoming really close with the people around you.

There was a fair bit of rotation in my squad. My squad was pretty meh at first but then the people I didnt get along with rotated out and good ones came in. For a 7-8 month period, we were 6 in the squad, all strong personalities, but we all got along very harmoniously. Fuck we had alot of fun on all those 12 hour shifts, not to mention the times we were on leave.

Many bitch about their time in the army, navy or air force, I consider it to be one of the best years of my life.
