Even if you look at already existing adaptations - you have silly 60 Adam West show, gothic and bizarre Burton's Batman, which later devolved into silliness, again, there are realistic Nolan adaptations (devolved too), there's the hyper-gritty Batfleck, grunting and killing people left and right.
