Am I delirious here or would people rather see this mellow, realistic Bond rather than the dude with invisible Aston Martins, cocktails and page 3 girls being hunted by criminal masterminds with laser beams and space stations?

who do you think should be the new bond? I vote cillian murphy.

Casino Royale is a legit fantastic film
QoS was serviceable but forgettable
Skyfall was ridiculous trash that looked pretty
Spectre was marginally by having a story that wasn't full of plot-holes
Skyfall and Spectre both made bank at the box office though. So guess where the franchise's headed

You don't like James Bond if you don't like the gimmicks. Bournefags have ruined the franchise.
>James Bond, the original spy
>turn him into generic operative from a Stephen Seagel film
shut up retard
I'd really like to see some actual 1:1 adaptions of the novels, that'd be pretty cool.

>Stephen Seagel

I like the fun society Bond vs. Jason Bound gritty quick-cuts-shaky-fight Bond.

this is objectively the right answer

My point is that there are assets out there that are trained in everything from high speed pursuit to Mandarin out there, Bond could be taken to another level. Not just Q cooking up some ridiculous Wunderwaffe that explodes from a shoelace that Bond swings like a boomerang. Maybe it's the wrong franchise but it'd be cool to see inter-office rivalry, traditional police work, door kicking and interrogation. There's still room for buxom ladies, games of hazard and fast cars.

He's just so fucking boring though. Like christ, you're doing all this cool shit at least crack a smile you brick wall.
Anyway it's not a spy movie in the classic sense without gadgets and such. Might be a more realistic portrayal of spies but Bond was always supposed to be an over the top vicarious thing.

I agree with Craig being boring as shit. But ours is the time of seriously impressing technological stuff. Smartdust, drones and Predators. Have Bond dress up in a hijab in Jerusalem tracking down a terror cell that's going to strike in Birmingham and have him extracted on a Visby frigate or some shit like that.
