Why is this movie so underrated?

Why are you posting the same damn thread every single day?

it's not underrated. It's a great movie, but simply a ''good'' McT movie simply because he did not get his way to make the perfect Viking movie.
One day I will understand why someone would give orders to the guy who made Die Hard and Predator and think he knows better.
All the hopes of seeing Viking greatness is in the hands of based Mel.

This is now a Jerry Goldsmith appreciation thread.

I also have fond memories of this film but the truth is that it is a poorly made film. The first ten minutes should be used in textbooks as how not to start a movie
Nobody gave a shit about mudslimes when it came out

Critics are plebs.
It's a pretty comfy saturday afternoon flick that you don't get tired of watching time after time.

Because everyone always harps on "what could have been" if the original script and all went through. Which is a moot point.

I still have no idea how Banderas made that role work.
>Merciful Father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not among them. But at this moment, I beg only to live the next few minutes well. For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought; all we ought to have said, and have not said; all we ought to have done, and have not done; I pray thee, God, for forgiveness.

What did the original script said?

I like the movie and I couldn't give a shit about the original script - which I didn't even know existed.
