Yeah, I think it probably was. A totally shit year for movies overall though, so it's not much of an accomplishment.

Predictable in all the right ways, great chemistry and dialogue. Grew up in middle Georgia with family in south GA and West KY, so the atmosphere is nostalgic for me.

I haven't seen all of the movies I wanted to see this past year, and I haven't seen all of the nominees yet, but this would be my personal choice.
