Not really. Constantine suffers mightily from the fact that he's a british-centric character owned by Americans who can't market him without downplaying the British angle to Americans.

It hurts as well that Constantine's backstory is tied to the 80s Thatcher backlash along with the explosion of magical realism" fiction (IE magicians who act and dress like normal folks and who's magic is dumbed down so that it isn't nerdy and "realistic") in the early 80s that never really caught on.
