left design has a good amount of color, looks like it's properly proportioned and built strong enough to tank hits, it has two very distinct pieces of weaponry (sword and shield) and has small details that are not washed out by more common elements.

the right design is just a fucking mess and is practically the opposite of the left. its colors are faded, which prevents identifying the parts its made out of... it's very skinny and has so many jagged edges it's impossible to tell what is and isn't a cutting weapon (as well as dumb-ass tacked on "guns" that WILL snap off when played with roughly) and the small details are completely washed out by the "textures" aka visual noise.

tl;dr
left is made by people who know how to make toys for children, and can actually be used AS A TOY for children without (easily) breaking
right is made by commitee of adults and business suits who don't remember ever being children; their inner child would be horribly disappointed.
