Why dont tolkien-fans try to film anything independently? "The hunt for Gollum" was pretty decent and there would be tons of script-material for short-films especially. I guess the Silmarillion isn´t coherent enough for a blockbuster but it would be fucking awesome to see if only some chapters of it filmatized, even by amateurs. Get on it anons!

He forgave Aulë for the dwarves though, I always found that part funny, guy listened to Eru's song and is so excited for the future apparition of the world's inhabitants he makes a bootleg version, who as it turned out where the first lower beings, but had to be stored away until the Elves had already showed up on scene.
