well for me it wasn't that well written, bunch of random events occur during the whole plot, some of them are mentioned later, some of them are not reffered at all. the move isn't going nowhere, and there's really no pacing, not to mention i couldn't find anything new in this movie. wasn't impressed by photography and music as well. really don't know the reason behind the hype

what do you mean by random events? care to give examples?
Looks like the intro into a gay porno movie.
The methods for watching it are to be naked and prepare anal lube and a dildo.

Are you retarded or what?

don't want to spoiler much but for me it wasn't just consistent/coherent and it's not even an art movie.
Lots of scenes were unneccessary, they didn't bring much to the plot and eren't holding any value itself.

ya maybe i'm, but i really enjoyed moonlight, hell or high water and nocturnal animals from this year's oscars nominations.
Manchester by the sea is just a shallow movie for me

I have seen the movie a few times and I don't know what you're referring to when you say that it isn't consistent or coherent. I was hoping you would explain what you mean.
Also, Hell or High Water is incredibly middling. Nocturnal Animals is mediocre, verging on bad. Moonlight is good though. Manchester is better than all 3.

Manchester is just a weird movie. You don't usually see films about such damaged people not knowing what to do acted that realistically.
It's a wonderful movie. Very realistic.

Care to name examples of those scenes? You know that everything doesnt have to be plot related? It can bring flesh out the characters. Moonlight was okay just like hell or high water. I thought nocturnal animals was great. Manchester is still the best movie of the year.
It's good.
All you need to know is Casey Affleck killed his children by letting his house burn down. This is why he's so emotionally detached.
he accidentaly kills his little girls in a house fire and cant deal with it and will never be at peace with it.
the end.
its good.
