Some people do, but either way it would be retarded of them to stop selling the older ones. It's not really costing them anything to keep them up and it still gives them potential income.

The company isn't relying on their old audios for income, they make all their money by selling the new stuff. Seriously just think about it and use that same logic on other companies. Fox doesn't sell old Family Guy dvds anymore but they are doing just fine.

Clara seemed to change more than the Doctor. Season 9 not in 1.85:1 so no wasted screen real estate. Dalek Kan seemed to predict their becoming "the hybrid" and accelerate the process to make it happen with 10 and Donna. Memory wipe was a bummer but good parallel to the earlier situation.

Better than having some whimsical faerie story theme like a lot of 11's run. Callbacks to almost all former Doctor personalities from Capaldi.

It's not a matter of him reusing ideas, it's how everything is deliberately constructed to be like an average Sixties story and nothing more. The basic plot owes a lot to Tomb of the Cybermen, with some things from The Invasion and, yes, giant slugs thrown in.
I don't have a problem with a bit of nostalgia, if it's done well, but the sheer lack of a will to do anything new from Briggs is disturbing. Even Colin's regeneration story was oddly similar to The Ultimate Foe. And it's not just about him, he's just the worst representative of a trend that has taken over most of BF's current production.

Almost everything last year was about nostalgia.

I liked them, though I'm currently stopped at the one with Torchwood One director. But it's not Torchwood. It's just some sci-fi narrated by the guys who were once on Torchwood.

Perhaps Torchwood was never good to begin with, but Big Finish did not salvage it, they just produced generic sci-fi under its name.

I've been working my way through rewatching my Troughton-era DVDs in chronological order since the missus gave me The Enemy Of The World for Christmas. I'm looking to pick up the remaining stories in the series (Web Of Fear, The Moonbase, and Underwater Menace) in the near future. However, I keep seeing reviews that say The Moonbase DVD is terrible due to some sort of faulty remastering process. Can anyone fill me in on what's wrong with it?
