Sure when you watch it, but then later you find out they made up 70% of "facts" presented in movie

I wouldn't be the man I were today if it weren't for this movie. I saw it when I was 14, and I immediately got a job at a movie theater. I told them I wanted to run the projector (to add a dash of mayhem to family flicks). They told me, “Sorry, everything is digital now, but we do have a position open at the concession stand. I said, "fine,” and started the next day. Let me tell you something boys - that fake butter isn't just fake butter. I've been adding cum into it for years. I piss and shit all over the bathroom floor so often that management doesn't even bother cleaning it up anymore. One Yelper referred to it as, “Dirty bathrooms. Dirty theatre. Overall, dirty and disgusting.” Mayhem at my local theater. I smile callously when I think of all my other brothers in arms enacting Project Mayhem at their local establishments. I've been going almost 10 years strong at the movie theater, and to think they are now discussing a renovation. Build it again, and I will destroy it.

Dr. Strangelove influenced operation procedure in the U.S. military. Thirteen Days does a reasonable job of showing the incredible pressure JFK was under to start a nuclear war and the madness of generals on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

I think it could have been a better movie if they stopped heavily implying it was just 1 person, rather that people keep disapearing or scrap the reason for why he was there for something else

the only movies with a similar twist that i can think of are Psycho and Primal Fear, and that's if you pretend fc had only the twist going for it.

There seem to be two types of Reddit-callers here:

1. The troll who calls "Reddit" to anything. The only thing that that troll won't call Reddit on is another idiot calling Reddit on someone or an obvious troll, such as someone citing "Transformers 4" as a clever movie that makes one think.
2. Perhaps a truly knowledgable person on film but is too far gone to appreciate good or great films that are accessible to people without substantial studies in film and literature.

#2 is like a person who is such a food snob that he cannot appreciate a really good pizza and will say that raw meat (tartare) at the fancy French restaurant is for the patrician palette.

Is Fight Club patrician? No.

Is Fight Club clever and deeper than your average movie? Yes. There's a lot going on in this movie, unfortunately 90% of the people that watch it think the movie was promoting project mayhem and anarchy, and they think that Tyler Durden's philosophy was being promoted as a better alternative to mundane white collar culture.

Which is just wrong.
