The music in this actually gave the film some neat layers, how it sorta fleshes out the characters. The Big Lebowski has his classical music, The Dude has his 70's music, Bunny's got Elvis, Jesus has that Mexican version of Hotel California (by the Eagles, which The Dude hates) and so on.
