you skipped a few episodes in there. way to pander to the plebs.

This episode is awful, but one thing I do like about it is that there is no clear message here.

You got a bunch of space hippies that society at the time hated, but you have an intelligent being like Spock associating with them. He understands them, somehow so there's this sense of there being a message of acceptance.

Yet at the end, the space hippies, delusional and misguided end up doing bad things in order to get to a place they believed existed but had no proof it did. Instead of it being a message about faith getting you to where you want to be, it turns out that having faith, and being misguided will get you killed (in a very horrible horrible way).

As much as I hate the episode, I think it's probably one of the ones that has had the least amount of analysis of what the fuck the writers were getting at.

I've outlined most of the best though right? What ones did I miss, and I'll re watch them?
>>
>>64543533
Sometimes the messages were really clear, like in "Let This Be Your Last Battlefield" Where the two semi-black and white faced alien races have been fighting for centuries to the point where their entire race is wiped out, yet they continue to chase each other and fight. A real "violence gets you nowhere" episode. Star Trek was extremely liberal back in the 60's, which was a good thing.

>Sometimes the messages were really clear, like in "Let This Be Your Last Battlefield".

Absolutely, and some episode there was no message, just a good story or premise.

I'm just commenting about this episode, because not only is it out of place in the whole series, but it is also contradictory in many ways within it's own story structure. It's just a really oddball episode.

Considering that Uhura was the sex appeal with Pam Grier-tier tits and a ass to match, I don't think so.

The movie was actually pretty good, especially that scene where the enterprise attacks the terrorists on Nimbus, the Spock's brother part and the happiness of the cast overall.
