What did we make of episode 1? I enjoyed it, but I'm worried that they wont be able to fit everything in over the next 5 episodes and so the pacing might feel a bit rushed.
Is it set to become a classic?
Also, kek at the difference between the patrician British trailer and the pleb Americuck trailer.

You can't make this shit up

I saw the first episode and felt they went for controversy rather than fidelity. Especially the spelled out relation between Hélène and Kuragain (brother and sister) is only hinted at in the novel, but rather in-your-face in the adaptation.
Apart from that I'm having a hard time believing in Paul Dano as Pierre. Bear in mind, though, this point is irrelevant, since I think you should aim for great actors, not actors resembling a character.
In any case, the timing of the series to the fact that I've just read the novel is enough cause for me to wait for the series to conclude before I'll pick it up.

How does she manage to get hotter with age?
You guys know Pierre is ac u c k, right?
Dear God, that American trailer is fucked.
Having actually never read it before, would you discourage watching any adaptions before

Oh my god, that American trailer.
I thought it was a joke re-cut until I saw it was on the official Lifetime channel.
Wow.

No.
Whether you like it or hate it, it might encourage you to check out the source material later. Look at it that way.
Dano should play Henry VI next.
