This. It was so retarded. Blofeld was shit though. "hehe I am evil. look at me. so evil. I did everything. everything mr. bond. fuck you for getting my dad to care about you." The organization Spectre was shit too. That type of campy organization was great in the 60s, 70s, and 80s but its a different time. Quantum was a more visceral and menacing organization. Mr. White was also a much better villain than Blofeld in QoS and CR. Le Chiffre was also a much better villain than anyone in the Craig Bond.

That hamfisted attempt at connecting the films was also pathetic.

Besides the nice opening Skyfall was shit. The plot falls apart. Same thing for Spectre.

Quantum of Solace works well as a sequel and not as a standalone. I really enjoyed it.

Why was the critical reception so mixed? It had a ton of flaws but it was an impressively made, well acted action movie. The MCU movies are full of shitty CGI and the cinematography is TV movie tier yet most of those movies receive critical acclaim. Avengers: Age of Ultron was far more flawed than Spectre but that didn't stop it from getting better reviews.
