The story of star wars was already written before ANH was made. In fact since he only got to make one movie at that time, he had to take parts away from the sequels to have a complete first film (the death star blowing up)

Don't be mistaken, I'm not defending JJ here but Starwars 5,6,1,2 and 3 were nothing at all near special or noteworthy.
Starwars 4 was just a rewrite of hidden fortress and even stole some of the actual cinematography.

why did they feel the same? The worlds were different, the characters had faced new hardships and developed. At the end Luke came out a different man than #4 and you were put through his journey throughout the acts

While the monologues about love and sand were perhaps the worst thing in the series, I would have preferred more talk about trade disputes to what we got. Really those things were for only 10-20 minutes of the second one, and while I didn't hate anything quite as much, at least a solid hour in the new one annoyed me almost as much.

Empire Strikes Back has the following plot: The Rebels have a new base on Hoth. The Empire finds them and drives them out. Luke goes to Dagobah based on commands from Obi-Wan's ghost in order to learn from Yoda. Meanwhile, Han, Leia, and the rest are stuck hiding in an asteroid belt because the Falcon's hyperdrive isn't working for some reason. Eventually the Empire gives up and leaves, so the team goes to meet Lando, one of Han's old friends, on Cloud City so he can fix the ship. But a bounty hunter figures out where they're going before they get there and reports back to the Empire, so the Empire gets there first and ambushes them. Darth Vader starts torturing them so that Luke will see their pain through the Force and come to rescue them. Han has a price on his head, so the bounty hunter takes him. Lando realizes he made a shitty deal when he sold out the team, and while he can't save Han, he frees everyone else. Luke shows up, fights Vader, learns Vader's his father, gets his ass kicked, and is rescued by Lando and Leia, then the whole team jumps to hyperspace and gets away.

Return of the Jedi's plot: Luke and the gang carry out a plan to save Han from the crime lord. The plan doesn't go smoothly, but is successful anyway. Luke's mentors tell him that he must confront Vader again. The Empire has another Death Star, protected by a shield on the forest moon of Endor. A Rebel strike team, led by Han, Luke, and Leia is dispatched to disable the shield. Luke allows Vader to capture him so that he can fight -- and redeem -- Vader, who then kills the Emperor. The strike team is late blowing up the shield, but manages it in the nick of time, at which point the Rebel ships fly inside the Death Star to destroy it.

You see how NONE of these are the same plot as ANH, OR Hidden Fortress?
