Roughly 80% of it was exactly the Spider-Man movie I wanted. They hit the nail on the head in so many ways. Loved seeing him actually putting on the suit, learning the abilities when trapped in the warehouse, all the local neighbourhood shit.

Keaton is the best MCU villain since Loki. He'd better return for a Sinister Six dealio.

Minor nitpicks - His best friend AND Aunt May discovering his identity in the first movie.

Pretty much all the scenes with his best friend.

The Penis Parker joke was used FOUR times.

No final swing sequence, but its not so bad because the Aunt May "What the FU" reaction was a genuinely funny way to end the movie.

Martin always feels to me like a really great idea wrapped up in a mid-level execution. John Amplas puts in a solid performance but I always find myself thinking it could have been done better (albeit only by a level of talent Romero probably didn't have access to). I agree it's one of his better movies, but it's mostly on the strength of the high concept.
