If by under 10k you mean 8 or 9k, it's possible, but you'd be fucking disappointed with what you got for it. 2k you could get a studio or maybe a little 1 br above a shop, 3-4k for a 1 bedroom proper, then parking, and the only shops less than 30 min away are boutiques and bistros, so either waste gas or buy 12 dollar croissants.

Why not live in the burbs?
