I'm in Bar Harbor, Maine for dinner while traveling throughout New England. Does anyone who's been there before or lives around there have a suggestion on the best place for seafood?
Thurston's lobster pound is on the ass-end of the island, but it's the quintessential Maine lobster experience; worth the drive. There are nice outdoor places to fuck around and make a day of it anyway. Ship Harbor, Bass Harbor lighthouse.

lived there a summer and my sister is a Ranger. Farther through the island at Southwest Harbor theres a place called Beals, HIGHLY recommend, but you can get a good meal in town at Geddys as well. Steer clear of the restaurant at the Bar Harbor Inn, not that the quality or views are bad but they get a bunch of overseas workers to work the kitchen for pennies and then they end up getting physically assaulted by the management and scared into silence, its pretty fucked and I quit because of it.
I also heard good things about the chart room. I know this post is like 12 hours old, but anyone else going there would do well to listen to this.
