I love these threads
Post 'em /trv/
i just turned 40
Who /fullhungary/ here?
>>1290171
Mine, updated -- I no longer have a planned trip in the works, but am home from my first trip to Costa Rica.

Sigh, I'm getting bad about hitting "Post" without attaching the picture.
I hate this autistic shit.
I've been to about 40 countries. While I know that's not many compared to some folks here on /trv/, it takes way too much time to identify and fill in tiny-ass regions in countries like Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I get the meme about
>spends three days in Moscow
>colors in all of Russia
But fuck, a lot of small countries have dozens of administrative regions, all packed closely together.
Takes way too much time to do, especially for Eastern Europe and Latin America.
>>1290203
its just for fun, nobody is making you participate, calm down
>>1290199
>Serbia and Montenegro
Are you from the 90s, anon?

If you've been to 40 countries but can't pinpoint the exact places you've been on a map, maybe try travelling more consciously.
>>1290179
>serbia
but why
Flags for extra autism.

>Flags for extra autism.
oh hell yeah i love it
I thought I'd been to more places, i consider myself well traveled, the European countries I have been too multiple times, lost count for France.
Adding Japan in 2 weeks, still in China.
Kinda sad that it's not as filled in as i would like, but hey there's always time
Lot of places I still need to go. Finally going to finish off Iceland next month.
>>1290171
Got some problem going to Japan and a bit of a problem in Vietnam though
Mostly traveled by car
>will never visit
This always makes me cringe. Ignorant people showing off their ignorance.
what site are you guys using to make one of these?
My newest addition is Norway, hoping to go to somewhere in the Balkans later this year.

An alternative approach...

Underappreciated post.
next big trip is gonna be india
>>1290203
I was thinking, how about a plain world map with just the countries, but with more color categories?
These are the typical options:
>Live in
>Visited
>Want to visit
>Don't want to visit
Why not just expand that to:
>Live in
>Visited <10%
>Visited 10-30%
>Visited 30-50%
>Visited 50-80%
>Visited >80%
>Want to visit
>Don't want to visit
That way, it's easier to fill, and gets the message across.
>England is one region
>Ireland is about 50 regions
>>1292850
That's because you're using the wrong map.
>>1292082
"Will never visit" isn't completely synonymous with "Don't want to visit."
Some people "will never visit" certain countries because they're simply not allowed in there. People of South Korean birth are not allowed in North Korea. Israeli passport holders are not allowed in 16 different countries; holders of non-Israeli passports with evidence of travel to Israel are not allowed in 8 of those countries.
>>1292386
Like this?
>>1293212
That's pretty good, actually.
>explored inside and out of Russia, China, India
>saw a lot of USA
That's kind of amazing in its own way.
>>1290171
Nice. A proper map.
Is there a site with radio buttons or a drop down that I can fill this out with?
>>1292137
Download the template in OP and edit it paint

>But fuck, a lot of small countries have dozens of administrative regions, all packed closely together.
I do hate this part of map threads, and will "cheat" by painting more than where I've actually visited in some countries, if only for the sake of visibility.
It's great and all if you're a euro and going to all your neighbouring countries repeatedly across your lifetime until you can fill them all in, but many of my trips would be barely noticeable, as I'm flying from metropole to metropole, staying weeks in some, but each one looks tiny as fuck on a map.
Hence, "cheating" by painting larger regions around it until it looks better.
These cities in Italy

Could also be because of distance/money. Some parts of the world are simply too far away and too expensive to get to for people to realistically consider going.
You make me cringe with your judgmental blanket generalizing.

We should have a cumulative version of this map again. (to see the regions traveled by /trv/ as a community )
