they are so much more serious going through here from the South than they are from the North. Crazy to think though just to cross a damn room you literally have to take a trip through China just to do it.
>>1288964
Did you get that man's permission to post this on 4chan?? This seems a little disrespectful etiquette anon. Take these down if they aren't travel related, I'd say.

Pretty easy actually. Though I didn't get to do it since I was with my significant one during the trip. I was quite surprised by westernization of Korea. Itaewon is probably a good place to start if you are a foreigner

Top Korean BBQ place in Seoul. This place was soooo good. Meat literally melt in your mouth.....
>>1288990
Haha I recently went on the same JSA tour. That fucking exhibition on the axe murder was crazy, they even had a piece of the stump of the tree there. The whole thing was dramatized as fuck in typical American fashion.
Did you watch video they had at the Third Tunnel?

Nice. Yeah I did. lol it's insane....

I don't get seasick easily, but that 7 hours long boat ride... Almost throw up at near the end. BTW, I was probably only "young" guy in that boat ride. About 95% of people in the boat were ajum-ma (old ladies). They were drunk and started dancing in the boat.... crazyness
>>1289419
That red paste is something else.... did you have any mukeunki? By far my favourite dish in Korea
In Seoul now because of a fuckup in a Russian transit airport, you can't transit between Russian airports without a visa for some asinine reason. So they sent nr to Seoul instead of HK.
I'm in the jongno-gu district, feels boring as shit compared to Tokyo. What should I check out?
op compress them next time
Why would anyone visit this place?
>>1288505
>108 posts

op please stop polluting /trv/, I don't speak for everyone but this thread really isn't that interesting. save your pictures for your family photo album or at the very least compress them to a reasonable level before dumping hundreds of them here
>spending a month in South Korea
>>1289427
>Ulleungdo
Went back in april. Defiantly favourite place in Korea so far. The ferry from Pohang was nauseous af. Wish the public transport there was a bit better tho
Why go to a country that's barely 70 years old when you can go to an actual 2000 year old country just across the Sea of Japan?
>>1289866
>travel thread posting pics of traveling

You're a strange one anon.
I enjoyed the photos OP.
>>1291486
South Korea isn't a destination worth a bunch of uncompressed photos
>>1289557
>>1289866
I am not sure why these jackasses are bitching about size. If you have a shitty internet, then go check out other thread. I didn't see any rules regarding uncompressed image.
>>1290876
Yeah Ulleungdo was def one of my favorite places. Shitty people on island but place was beautiful.
>>1291112
Thanks. I will continue to post more. I took like 5000+ photos. So it's taking me a bit to go through all those. This photo says if you see a North Korea spy, report to police.

Back to Ulleungdo. They made a trail beside shore. I walked for two hours and apparently that was only a small part of trail.

Youll have to start super early if you eant in (go out in the next few hours) and queue by the CJ E&M building in mapo gu

>>1291848
It really isn't. It's Not nearly as visually stunning or photogenic as Japan, not to even mention parts of china or Vietnam
I like your photos, OP.
>>1291873
>take this to /p/?
I think you answered your question, mate, since you seem to recognize that these are two different places.
>>1291890
You try to refute that you're not stating your own opinion by giving me more opinions?
Your logic makes no sense, anon. What are you really trying to say?
>>1291900
Korea is a hugely overrated travel destination and pales next to almost every other east/southeast Asian country AS a travel destination (not necessarily as a place to live)
>>1291918
You keep repeating yourself as if it's making your point more clear, it's not. Is English not your first language?
Which part of Korea did you visit?

>>1291921
The culture isn't as interesting as Japan's. The food isn't as good as China's. The people are not as chill as in Thailand. The women are okay looking for Asians but absolute dogs by any other standard. Its mediocre to decent in everything and excellent at nothing in particular. It's a pretty ugly country too. Soul crushing cities, unkempt countryside, dull national parks. I went to Seoraksan which someone told me was The most beautiful mountain and an incredible hike. Seriously any big mountain in Japan blows it out of the water, maybe except for mt Fuji which is a meme.
Seriously, if you are looking for photo ops in east Asia, what the fuck are you doing in Korea when you can go to Japan and China? Their national parks are so much better.
South Korea is one of those countries where the more countries you've visited the less special it is. Once you've been around the world enough, you realize that it's a mediocre destination and other places are much more fascinating,
complex and deep.
But for baby's first time abroad (probably ops situation), South Korea is an okay substitute if you're looking for something like Japan. A good tip is if you live in NA or Europe, never ever go to Korea for travel if you've actually been to japan, you'll just be so disappointed and wish you'd spent the expensive airfare to go to Tokyo instead.
>>1292105
Most Koreans themselves will agree that Japan is a much better travel destination if you're going to drop 1000 ish on a plane ticket to go to Asia from NA. Trust me.
>>1292052
There's bus goes around the island every 30 mins. It was only $1 if I recall correctly.
>>1292083
>>1292105
>>1292106
FYI, I have been to both China and Japan previously. But I would like to mention that Korea is unique in their own way. This thread isn't about which country is better, so stop circle jerking around Japan already.
>>1292109
Special how? The shitty beer? The trash on the streets? The shitty fucking racists? Bro I'm not the person you're replying to but did you even get to see some of the landscapes in Japan and China? There's a hundred islands out there in the world way better than jeju or ulleungdo by the way, I hope you get to see them.
>>1292083
Have to say the girls and guys were pretty cute in Korea, however, their style seems to be pretty uniform
>>1292112
> Special how? The shitty beer? The trash on the streets? The shitty fucking racists?
Wait, Japan or Korea?
>>1292182
I've never been treated badly in Japan and I'm a nig. Koreans are the complete opposite. It was so fucking obvious how much they were sucking up to the whites while treating me like shit. Japan >>>>>>>>>> korea on this count mate.
>>1288505
I have a similar picture.
