Does Greyhound scan tickets before boarding?

This is Greyhound we're talking about. Chances are they're scanning to see that the ticket is genuine, rather than the spelling of one's name. Even if they make a big deal about it, you can just cause a scene and make it look like their fuck-up.

last time I was on, the bus driver just looked at the ticket and punched it
helped that it was a 11pm pickup in a small town

Don't edit your name, that will get you in bigger trouble on the ofd chance they notice it compared to q wrong name.

How will they notice if I change the name on my ticket? Do they have a checklist of names and mark people off as they come in?

similar i had my address spelled wrong like "cronfeild street" instead of "cornfield street"

They keep your ticket, so make sure you don't print them on one paper like I did. And they checked my passport as well, but I crossed a border.
