Some of my friends have recently gotten into the habit of going to Vegas to gamble, and it's been pretty fun.
However, I've been reading there are ways to maximize the kickback Casinos offer you while gambling. A lot of internet resources on this topic are dated.
Any advice on having a good time or maximizing value at Vegas casinos?

Like keep asking for drinks?
Have you ever tried gambling in Atlantic City, or Detroit?

I was thinking more free hotel rooms or comped meals.
I've been gambling in the Bahamas and PR as well, but never been to Atlantic City.

Sign up for one those reward cards. I don't gamble nearly enough to have earned anything but they still send me emails for discounted room rates and even some free rooms from time to time.

This probably, if you want rewards they're gonna make you chase them.
It probably won't won't end up being worth your time or effort unless you have a ton of free time, flexibility, and are very detailed oriented.
I signed up for something simmilar at a ski resort 3 years ago, haven't been back since.

Look up perfect strategy trainer programs online, you can get them for blackjack and video porker of all sorts. They basically train you to what move to make thats statistically correct.
It wont turn you into a card shark, but will take the edge off the house a bit since you wont be making rookie mistakes. That will help you prolong play a bit/.

If you want to get drunk for next to free, Dotty's. Sit at a machine and bet pennies for a few minutes, approach the bar, get your drink, then go back to betting pennies. Repeat every twenty to thirty minutes. Tip if you don't want them cutting you off for not betting enough. Only problem is you're in a Dotty's. Bring a tazer.

How much are you betting. If you want decent comps you won't get them playing Slots or Blackjack.
