Is it a nice place to live?
Experiences?
No
>Albuquerque day trips, 3 hours away in Arizona
The city is basically Tucson, AZ at higher elevation with more crime and snow in the winter.
New Mexican food is great though.

this. i've lived there and will probably be moving back. some people can't get over how brown things are but I actually like it, especially the adobe style houses. the mountains are awesome, the food and culture of NM is awesome and very unique within the US. ABQ just feels very welcoming and comfy to me. Next time I go back I want to start training at some of the MMA gyms. Also the lack of humidity is great. Only downside is it's geographically isolated from other large cities

>food is awesome
>Frito pie served in a bag
The only reason to go NM is if you wear a tinfoil hat.
Nevada and Arizona are the dry desertscape-masterrace states. New Mexico looks like a turd because it is named after one.

frito pies are shit in NM, just like they are shit in NOLA. you're an idiot if that's what you ordered and didn't get proper NM food
NM is not named after Mexico you dumbfuck. If you're gonna talk shit at least don't embarrass yourself

I live in Tucson, What are good places to live on the south west?
>>1283378
I mean, it depends on what you're looking for and how much money you make.
I'm from Tucson too, so I'm biased towards AZ. I don't know shit about Utah or Colorado.
>Plentiful jobs, cheap living, located near a lot of other stuff
Phoenix, Las Vegas
>Lots of history/cultural stuff nearby, even less expensive than above but with narrower job options
Albuquerque, Tucson
>Rich? Retiree? Basically not hurting to make ends meet?
Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Santa Fe, maybe Palm Springs
>Looking for just a generally shitty place to live?
Yuma, Lake Havasu, Las Cruces, Sierra Vista, anywhere near a reservation
>Muh small towns
Jerome, Bisbee, anywhere along US 60 in AZ/NM, Gallup (overlaps with above), Taos, Las Vegas NM, etc

My mom is the only person I know who has been to Albuquerque (for the hot air balloons)
She insists it's her #1 least favourite city she's ever visited
From what i've read, Albuquerque is a very desolate place where people keep to themselves. Is this true?

nope
