I'm a lifelong New Yorker who hates my city with a blazing passion. Ask away
>>
Can you tell me some restaurants/fast food joints around Times Square that have meals without the usual glucose-fructose injection?
I found some salads in Paris Baguette that did not taste sweet af, but I need some more for the next time I'm locked up there.
>>
>>1276818
That's really the only place. I guess you could do Hard Rock Cafe, but that's fatty and not very good. Times Square is just a giant tourist trap. There is a place called prêt à manger that's similar to Paris baguette but it's not in Times Square. It's easy to find thing, since there's like a million inn the city
>>
Bostonite here who also hates New York. AMA. (I hate Boston too btw. I think every city in the northeast is a steaming pile of dog shit)
>>
>>1276846
It's nice to see a Bostonite and New Yorker agree on something for once lol. I'm guessing you also have a problem with how ultra liberal is is, among other things
>>
>>1276815
What's the best city in the country, and why is it DC?
>>
>>1276815
What do you hate about?
>>
>>1276924
Funny you say that because out of all the major cities I've been too in America D.C. Is my favorite. Still I haven't seen too many other palces
>>
>>1276926
First, let's start with demographics
All whites are pretentious, minus me and about 5 of my friends. About half of the native whites are closet communists who won't shut up about politics. All of them think New York is the greatest city on earth, because “we have everything” (I'll explain that more in depth later). My mostly white middle-class neighborhood is especially pretentious. It's one of the safer neighborhoods in the city. This really went to people's head, so it's rare for people to leave the neighborhood for something other than work. they think outside the neighborhood it's like they New York of the 80s. In fact, when a non violent robbery was reported a few days ago, people started crying about how they no longer feel safe. (Enough of my sob story, now back to the real stuff). Non native whites move here and live with 17 roommates on 5th ave. Once they realize that New York wasn't exactly as they pictured it, they complain about it all day. The difference between them and me, is that they can afford to leave and I'm stuck here for at least another year (I'm 17 and parents forced me to go to local college). Blacks are loud, annoying, and won't shut up about racism and racist cops. Hispanics and Chinese are dirty, spit in the streets, throw garbage in the streets, and don't learn English. At least they work hard. Muslim and Indians all have 4 kids each and they're badly behaved. Jews can't drive, usually hate non Jews, and are always displacing the whole city on their holidays when we have to pander for them. One Jewish guy in your 1,000 person company? Too bad. Gotta pander for him on Saturdays and holidays.
>>
>>1276926
Now, lets go to intelligence/stubbornness
New Yorkers are largely far left as I said. They will only watch CNN and MSNBC and other left wing outlets, and accept what they say as fact. The second someone comes out with the truth, or a different opinion, they flip shit. That's another problem, they all accept their opinion as fact. My dad has consistently tried to flip my ideas, because he thinks my opinions are wrong and his are right. All New Yorkers will say “I don't get it” or “i don't understand” at least 5 times a day. They can't comprehend that people have different thought processes then them. You can watch the view with all the liberal hosts not understanding conservatism of you don't believe me. Now, New Yorkers are especially stupid. Half of the the socialist propaganda they're fed is based on lies. They won't even bother to look it up. If you suggest they fact check it, they'll only go to the source that told them that lie. If you suggest they they use a different source, then they flip shit (because they're too afraid of being proven wrong). New Yorkers are STUPID. They read things wrong, all the time, (like a guidance counselor misunderstanding a college application, even though it was straightforward), and make shit up. Say what you want about Donald trump, but he's actually smart, especially for New York standards. But New Yorkers can't see that because they're too stuck up to accept a different opinion.
>>
>>1276926
So now we'll go to city life
In Manhattan there's a Starbucks on every corner. Most bars and restaurants are vegan/hipster friendly. A good number of them are tourists traps. If you want good food, you'll have to break the bank. Most music venues are hipster gathering places. The singers go on left wing rants a lot too. If you wanna listen to music and be near conservatives, you gotta go to a country music concert, which is full of anti-Italian Irish from the rockaways, degenerates from Staten Island, and upstaters. A lot of public parks are filled with homeless, burglars, rapists, drug dealers, and just about every other criminal you could imagine (yes, money launderers too). Basically, the city is a no-go zone for conservatives (smart conservatives)
>>
>>1276846
Hey I'm a Worcester fag who hates both New York and Boston and my own city as well! What's up guys?
>>
>>1276926
They're trapped in a bubble
New Yorkers are trapped in a huge bubble. If they have to drive more than 20 Minutes outside the city, they will complain the whole trip. They will hate on New Jersey, for literally no reason other than they don't live in New York. Northeastern Jerseyans are exactly the same. More to the great New York bubble, most high schoolers refuse to apply to a college outside the city limits. Not even Hofstra, literally 15 mins outside the city. As far as vacations, they only go to to resorts. They rarely go to a city, unless they're Italian and exploring Italy for example. Then, I come back to the famous “we have everything” quote. The New York bubble is so thick, they think they're the only city with everything. In fact, they think the only cities with things to do in America, are LA, and Chicago. In reality (which New Yorkers have a hard time excepting), there are so many cities which have everything. LA, Chicago, Toronto, Houston, Miami, London, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, and I could keep going. The only thing that's special about New York is a few land marks, and the pizza. Lots of cities have “everything”, and they all refuse to admit it.
>>
>>1276926
Sports culture
Lots of places have a tough sports culture. New Yorkers are the worst. A lot of polls have voted New York sports fans, of all sports, the worst sports fans. Just like a good sports fan, they'll defend their team. However, New Yorkers won't ever admit their team does any wrong. If their team has a shitty season, then they'll blame everyone but their team. And next year is always their year. If their team is comprised of the worst players in the league, they still have the best team, and next year is there year. If they signed rapists and serial killers, they'd still defend there team. White soccer fans are the worst though. They can't name more than 2 players on their team and still defend them to the death. They can't even tell you anything about that team, other than the location and the 2 players they know, but they still defend them to the death
>>
>>1276926
And last, but certainly not least, the infrastructure.
I'd say a good half the city is a complete fucking dump. It reeks of sewage, and in Chinatown, sewage mixed with a fish market. Trash everywhere. The roads are shit. Even worse, the city likes to waste money repairing roads that don't need anything. One of our lesser famous highways, the belt parkway, is voted the worse road in the state frequently, due to potholes. But the city won't fix it. Ever. They might fix a few of them from time to time but that's about it. Then there's the MTA. Every year it gets worse and worse. Ever few days there's a signal problem that shuts down half the system. One time it got so bad I came 43 minutes late to a 45 minute test. The construction on some lines is so bad that the train going slow as hell is considered “good service”. The trains are so slow that if you get hit by one you deserve to die. By the time you see a train from the end of the tunnel, you could jump on the tracks, have a 3 course meal, and still have time to spare before the train arrives. The city won't do anything about it until the whole system comes to a grinding halt. Not for a day, but for weeks. The system has to be unusable.
>>
>>1276960
Wow I've never met so many people who hate their city. I should start a thread
>>
>>1276970
What's their to love? Worcester is a fucking lazy shithole for 30' somethings to start a family.
New York is a giant heaping pile of shit.
Boston is a pretentious hipster enclave that is overpriced beyond belief now.

I was born in Greece and lived around Europe for a bit as a kid. I have fond memories of my travels even in youth, even poor. And I've traveled alot around the world.

I love America as a nation, and it's values.

But God this place can be a fucking drag.

I have yet to see anything here in the states that really shouts "Hey I'm unique yet awesome at the same time! Come over!"

Yeah, I know it's a tourist trap, but I have to stay there from time to time cause of reasons.
>>
>>1276965
This is the only part I can relate to.
I want to add something to the infrastructure thing... Mobile network coverage. It's a bad joke. Like third world level crap. At first I thought my iPhone was some different edition that didn't support some bandwidth that the US used, then I checked my roaming settings and roaming allowance (unlimited roaming...). At last I started to read up on mobile network coverage in the US compared to the world, and then things started to make sense. I had to just turn off mobile web altogether, cause it was so fucking useless that I was close to throwing my phone on the concrete.

I fully agree with all of these.

I don't live in New York but I have been there more times than I would have liked to. Everyone moves to New York thinking they're gonna be a cool New Yorker who doesn't take shit from anyone. In actuality it's all a bunch of liberal college students who think they are roughing it by living in one of the most expensive cities in the country. The amount of people moving to NYC is ruining the city imo, you have fewer and fewer people who actually live there and more people who think it's cool to live in NYC but end up leaving in a few years.

Transplants suck the life out of a city so quickly it's not even funny. There is no sense of community or home when it starts to happen. All you have are a bunch of naive people in their mid 20s who are trying to live the life they saw on T.V. and ignoring the reality that NYC is the same as any other city and they aren't special. Cities like Philadelphia (all though I shit on it all the time) are nice because no one wants to move there so it's home to a lot of people, it feels like people live there and it's a much happier atmosphere. I feel like NYC has been losing that feeling for the last 25 years and doesn't have it anymore. Living in NYC seems like living in one big college dorm.
>>
>>1278267
>Living in NYC seems like living in one big college dorm
Funny thing is, all the colleges (even small ones like st. Francis) have been buying out the city to build more dorms.

>all you have are a bunch of naive people in their mid 20s who are trying to live the life they saw on T.V.
Exactly. They think their life is gonna be a rerun of friends or HIMYM. Once they realize it isn't, they can't stop complaining

Funny story, a fe years ago I took my cousin from Italy to the observatory at the freedom tower. They had a guy at a kiosk giving a presentation about the city, and he spent half of it trashing the city and the people. Not like I did, but like an annoying college kid from the Midwest

One of the most common complaints I see about NYC is that there are so many minorities here. I live in the bronx and it's not rare for me to be the only white guy on my train or the block I'm walking on. Does it bother me? No. I present myself confidently and no one bothers me.
What does bother me are the masses of annoying white kids from LI/Connecticut/Upstate that come into the city every friday and saturday that take up space. Sidewalks, trains, bars, restaurants, you name it, get over crowded with annoying drunk neo-preppies who should go back to Fairfield or wherever the fuck mommy and daddy live.

Times Square is nice for out of towners, but don't spend too much time there and don't give anyone you're money. The flatiron building is nice, most of 5th ave, and Columbus circle are good too. When you're there try pizza. Not like Grimaldis but like Spumoni gardens and visuvios, which are both in Brooklyn, but worth it. If you're under 35 then the east village has a lot of nice restaurants
>>
>>1278866

Here is my analysis of NYC after having lived here for a year

Note: I live in Manhattan and don't spend any time outside of the downtown area

Pros
>Food, food, food.
>___est ___ in the US. Tallest building, biggest museum, highest concentration of wealth, you name it. (This type of thing is what draws in people from around the country and contributes to the stereotypical elitist mentality)
>Biking along the rivers and through Central Park is pretty freaking nice. The city has done a good job of facilitating leisurely rides. The paths are great. (For example, you could ride from the WTC to the Cloisters up north without ever worrying about getting hit by a car.) If you live in NYC, even if for a bit, get a bike.
>To say that there is a lot of history in this city would be an understatement

Facts that are neither pros nor cons
>You need a lot of fucking money if you want to live here and do it up right. Manhattan is becoming fancier and fancier by the minute
>Most people seem to be here for work, people are constantly coming and going. Not to say that you can't get everlasting friendships going, but a lot of people are just here for a career step before they gtfo
>The subway is what it is

Cons
>Liberalism in its most fermented, annoying form. This is the land of restaurants putting signs in their windows about Trump and gay people and islamophobia and whatever the fuck, where leftist graffiti is allowed to stand, where somebody on your street probably has a pride flag or jpegs of comfort dogs in their windows or "no ban" signs to show solidarity in their symbolic struggle for social justice virtue signaling excellence
>Dirty. Obviously, you've got millions of people stacked on top of each other. Plus a curb-based trash system. And a disheartening number of litterbugs. The occasional reeking smell reminds you you're in NYC
>Paranoid point: if there were gonna be a terrorist attack, it would probably be here
>Not a good place for an anxious/claustrophobic person
>>
>>1279979
>Note: I live in Manhattan and don't spend any time outside of the downtown area

Why do you need to live in Manhattan? The city's rents are expensive in general but there's nothing wrong with living in a less trendy outer borough neighborhood and going to lower Manhattan/North Brooklyn to hang out when you have free time.
>>
>>1280321
My favorite is Vesuvios in Brooklyn. The cheapest there (and anywhere) is about 2.50-2.75. Manhattan it's starts getting up to 3.00 which is pretty expensive for a slice

Im going to New York for 1 week in september, you guys have any recommendations that deviates from what is always recommended or the obvious?
>>
>>1280737
Columbus circle is nice. You may want to avoid 5h ave, but do check out trump tower. It's really nice inside. The east village is a little hipsterish, but it does have some exotic restaurants. China town has a lot of Chinese food, but the area is very dirty.

If you're into museums, the cloysters is one of New York's hidden gems. If not, the park around it is really nice. You should also try to see a baseball game if someone's in town. Baseball is the cities most popular sport.

You also can't go to New York. Without pizza. I'd recommend saumons gardens in Brooklyn, but to get the real experience get the Sicilian slice. If you want to get good Italian style pizza and are willing to spend a lot, go to Grimaldis by the Brooklyn bridge or lucalis in carol gardens, although it's had to get a reservation.

Another hidden gem is a walkway next to the belt parkway in bay ridge. Sometimes people like to go fishing on it. Coney Island boardwalk and beach is nice in the day, but at night it's basically the hood.

Governors island is also nice. It's kinda like the Midwest in the middle of New York. There's walkways, meadows, and sometimes even concerts. There's also a fort and abandoned military housing that actually aren't in that bad shape. If you want, you can take the Staten Island ferry, although there's literally nothing to do in Staten Island until the Ferris wheel opens in 2018.

And for what it's worth, anywhere in NYC where there are white people, there will he Irish and Italians. But not stereotypical plastic paddies and guidos unless you're ib those white flight enclaves on the fringes of the city.
>>
>>1280584
Plenty of white people live in North Shore Staten Island
>>
>>1280921
Coney Island is always neat

I love the summer, with all that big Puerto Rican booty jiggling around
>>
>>1280967
Actually most Italians and Irish are stereotypical

>>
>>1280983
That's true, but keep in mind this just shows the most common ethnicity per census tract
>>
>>1280993
That's only true for the Italians. The Irish are all the same regardless if their conservative of liberal
>>
>>1280995
But a big chunk of white people in NYC are Irish or part Irish regardless of their subculture. I mean, they do celebrate St Patrick's day, but aside from that they seem like regular white people.
>>
>>1280921
Thanks a lot anon
>>
>>1281009
Well yeah that's what I mean by the same, but I was really talking about those who consider their ethnicity to be Irish, regardless of anything else. They're just regular white people

I've paid 4.25 for a slice at a local gas station in MS, you've got it good mate.

Are there any good places to pick up old military medals(WWII era)? was thinking of heading to the Chelsea or Hells Kitchen Flea Market

Honestly I don't know of any. There are a lot of antique stores though but I'm not sure what they have. There is a military antique store in Morris county nj if you are willing to g all the way out there to see

Was looking at a couple of places in Queens. I had already lived there, so I have a decent feel for most of the neighborhoods in NYC. How is Flushing to live? Its the perfect distance in my mind, can still have nights out on the city but also far enough away to be cheap but still having good connections. Plus, was full of east Asians.

Just wasn't sure how flexible landlords were about the income standard.
>>
>Cheapest pizza slices
>Not 1$
its basically cardboard and cheese with a little sauce, but if on a shoestring budget it will get you by. Also cheap food recommendation now that I am thinking about it for anyone traveling to NYC that hasn't already been to Asia abroad.
>Vanessas dumplings are fantastic
>4 pork and chive dumplings for 1,25
>sesame bread for 1$
>3 pork fried buns for 1,25$
Best way to end a night of drinking on the cheap also if you are interested in bubble tea pretty much 99% of the places won't be shit unless its Kung Fu tea. Its a franchise store, but their selection is fantastic and their bubbles taste good.
>>
>>1281074
Flushing is still nice. Still mostly Asian. I live closer to breezy point than flushing so I really can't say much, other than it won't be much cheaper than $1500/m

Flushing is losing its L service right? I had heard that over 4chan (havent lived in NYC in 3 years, my 1br apartment next to flatbush was 1200 at the time in ditmas park). That should probably decrease, or at least dent the increase in rent in the area.
>>
>>1281554
by L, I mean 7 their major train into downtown manhattan and therefore every other train connection.
>>
>>1281554
No, the L train is shutting down for a year in 2019 I believe.

And it will not depress rents.
>>
>>1281554
>>1281555
The L train doesnt even go to queens it goes through williamsburg to canarsie. You sure you lived here?
>>
>>1281585

>>
>>1281589
Maybe he lives in Chicago, they call their elevated subway service the L or something like that
>>
>>1281590
The L is also an old New York term for when the train runs above ground. Now the whole system is called the subway (minus Staten Island).

>>1281554
The 7 is shutting down a few stations for temporary repairs in a while, kinda like how their doing to the N
>>
>>1281633
It was called the EL and is pronouced completely different. wtf
>>
>>1281633
like the other guy said, people say "the els" to refer to the elevated lines but that means the els in general rather than a specific one like in the context you used
>>
>>1281635
Nobody would call the 7 train the "L"
>>
>>1282782
Yeah I know. Maybe he only lived in New York for a short period of time.
>>

Tourist here, I visited last year, but found the "melanin enhanced people" were more prevalent in DC, and way more wild/unpredictable (case in point being a gang of 30 riding motorcycles & quads took over an intersection in Chinatown/7th Street & busted off shots in the air before leading the cops on a chase in 4 directions) than in NYC, where most people are in a hurry to get somewhere & keep their head down. The worst I saw was two "thug" types trash talking / threatening each other on a street in the theatre district. I noped it out of there imaging they were about to "whip out the biscuit" and shoot each other but no one else seemed to care. The fact there are cops literally everywhere in NYC makes it so safe and bland I was disappointed.
>>
>>1283001
>thugs in the theatre district
You mean beggars shilling their blank "mixtapes"
>>
>>1283049

I did experience that but no, this was two dudes, dressed in the popular style of hip hop videos, swearing at each other &a threatening to "clack" each other etc. Probably drunk, but that was the worst I saw in NYC.

As a first timer to the city/USA in general I was quite wary of black folks, but aside from the modern day Wild West shit I saw in DC had no issues, everyone was super nice & friendly and very pleasant to chat with. Really showed me that irrespective of background, even moderately educated people all desire & respect the same values more or less.
>>
>>1283057
Were you expecting NYC to look like an episode of The Wire?
>>
I'll be out there for about a week, staten island will be my "home base". So once I take the ferry, how does one go about navigating around? What are some things to do for fun? I'm gonna have to be solo for a large portion so I'm kinda stressing for things to do.
>>
>>1283049
I made a mixtape once. I wrote Super Awesome Mix on it and gave it to a friend for our road trip. There was nothing on it and he was all. WTF. I told him it was the Sound Of Silence.
>>
Seems like this threaf hates expats into NY, but gonna ask anyways. How well would a Norwegian construction worker do in NYC? Thinking about moving there in a year, but would appreciate any advice. For instance what would be the best (cheapest in relation to quality of living) part of the city to live in?
Does tax bite you hard in the ass in New York?
>>
>>1283057
In ny the only way you're seeing some real ghetto shit is if you go to like Canarsie, far rockaway, Jamaica, Harlem, and bed-stuy
>>
>>1283177
Taxes are tough. Since I'm only 18 and live with my parents, I get hit with only 4 taxes. That number is gonna go up. And sales tax are some of the highest in the country at 8.875% (2 cities go all the way to to 10.25%).

As for being a construction worker, there are 3 types. Latin Americans who don't know any English, Italians Americans who speak English but will resort to their dialect a lot, and Arab Americans, who speak English but don't want to. So the best bet is to learn some Spanish, because that's what most construction workers speak. The Italians might make fun of you in their dialect but don't let it bother you. The arabs probably would speak English if you were around but they might have you learn Arabic too.

As for living here, I'm gonna attack a link with some places for rent. My advice is stay away from far rockaway, Jamaica, ozone park, and corona. If it says anything else and you're not too sure of it, feel free to ask

Definelty eat pizza. IMO the best pizza is in Brooklyn, but manhattan pizza isn't bad. I'd also recommend Katz deli. Get a pastrami and DO NOT PUT CHEESE ON IT. Also being like $30 on cash, they're a bit expensive. You can check out Central Park if you'd like, but Bryant park and Washington square park are less touristy and smaller. Shopping on 5th ave is kinda overrated. I'd recommend Noho since it's slightly cheaper and you can get the same, and sometimes even better brands. However, go inside trump tower on 5th ave, it's definelty worth it.

If you can get tickets, try seeing the observatory at the freedom tower. Easily the best view in the city. Governors island is a hidden gem, although the ferry ont operates from may-labour day. It's kinda like the Midwest in New York, but not in a bad way. Baseball game are also really fun

The east village has a lot of bars and restaurants. They do have a lot of expats, but not many tourists. Brooklyn bridge park and the Brooklyn promenade in Brooklyn heights are filled with tourists, but definelty worth it. If you're lucky, you can get some good pizza at Grimaldis on one end and watch the Russians play a soccer game at the other.

If you REALLY wanna go somewhere with a New York feel and not many expats/ tourists, go to 3rd&4th ave in bay ridge. Lots of stores and bars and restaurants to check out.

New York City seems like a cool place it's a jewel and international cities and one of the biggest coolest funnest and riches in the world...... The earth is kind of a little bit of a shithole depending on how u look at it but some places are pretty decent and worth a trip or even a living during ur lifetime wish I could get the opportunity to travel and live in and work in New York City was there briefly in 2014 and liked some of it was decent.....

Help trv.... How can I finish college or get a job in New York In business or finance or art and maybe live there for a few years and start a life family and career there......? Help trv.......

New Yorkers may travel more than flyovers, but most flyovers have more knowledge of the world outside the city.

I was in Rochester a few weeks ago and I meet a group of guys who came from small upstate towns and they knew all the other small upstate towns and cities. Menwhile, me and my nyer friend knew of 5 upstate cities. Rochester, Albany, new Rochelle, white plains, and Poughkeepsie

New York is the most major financial center on the country, maybe even the continent. You need to be a top notch finance guy to get a job. You need to have internships on your resume, have a great interview, and score really well on tests they make you take

If you're able to do that, then congratulations. Unless the market tanks like it did in '08 or you really fuck up you're basically set for life

I was born in New York, and I still live here 24 years later. I went out of state for college (to the South), but now that I'm back, I'll probably die here.

The city has changed a lot since I grew up and I've watched it do so. That being said, I still believe there is no place like New York to do business and make your mark on the world.

>Pros
If you want it, it is here in some capacity. From extremely strange fetish clubs, to one-room Tibetan noodle places, you can find what you want in New York if you look hard enough. It's hard to find another place with such geographic diversity and richness.

Economic opportunity is a contentious topic in New York, but I think this city still offers the best opportunities for individuals to make something of themselves. My parents arrived without a cent on their back and now they pull in six to seven figures. Despite earlier claims of racism, the only true religion New Yorkers worship is money. Pull your weight, and no one can whisper a word.

>cons

Pretty expensive if you live here and want to be a starving artist. Unfortunately, it isn't the 80's or the Summer of Love. That being said, I see a dichotomy between cities like Nashville and Detroit, where artists live in the outer parts of the city and are perfectly fine. NYC artists will only accept a multimillion dollar loft in Tribeca.

Elitism and wealth. In general, NYC is a hard city to be poor in. Solved by economic mobility and hustling.
>>
>>1284602
Those neighborhoods still aren't exactlly cheap

>>1284603
It's "hood" yet I bet you can't afford a studio apartment there
>>
>>1284668

But even Bushwick is starting to get really expensive

>>
>>1285537
half the average means nothing when all those ultra luxury buildings in Manhattan and North Brooklyn skew the rents

the bare minimum in the neighborhoods you mention is like 1300 (but often hundreds more depending on which neighborhood), which the average hood person cannot afford. You need a household income of like 55k before (the average household income in the hood is way less than that).

Listen man you just need a change of scenery. You're fucking 17, these people around you have been force feeding you their ideology for your whole life and you're tired of it as you should be. I grew up in Missouri and by the time I was 14 I wanted to shoot every religious conservative person I saw just because they were so relentlessly dominant over the local culture. Every single negative thing you have said about New Yorkers applies to people from literally everywhere. I could replace your rant but swap "conservative" and "liberal" and then swap "New Yorker" and "Missourian" and it would be just as accurate. But I got over the bullshit, and now my political opinions are not shaped out of pure spite for the people that fucking annoy me. Don't drink the /pol/ koolaid just to be contrarian.

I think once you get out of the city for a long period of time, you'll come back and you'll loosen up a bit.

Wanna listen to good music? Go listen to some Jazz in Harlem, the best god damn Jazz clubs in the world are up there.

Want good cheap food? You're a fucking moron if you cant find it it's literally everywhere in the city. You can get the best fucking dumplings in the US for about 25 cents a pop. You can walk into a church basement in the Ukrainian Village and eat some borscht that will blow your fucking mind for 2 bucks.

Maybe broaden your horizons and live a little and you won't be so fucking miserable, I would have killed someone to have had access to all the shit in New York. Once you see the rest of the world I think you'll realize how actually unique and incredible New York actually is.
