I'm gonna go to some National Parks for the first time and I live in California so mainly stuff on the west coast of the USA.
Anyone have any experiences/stories?
Favorite or Least favorite parks?
State Parks are also welcome to discuss about and you can also recommend parks in other states for future reference
Advice and tips are also welcome!

This.
Alaskan here, chugach national forest is an hour from my house and hiking around the trails is beyond comfy. I try to go out there every few weeks and just spend the day walking around then I find a nice spot by the river and watch the water race by.

Glacier National Park
Great Sand Dunes National Park
my two favorites.
Of course there's Yosemite, Sequoia, Tahoe Forest.
But do try Redwood Natl Park just north of Eureka. Tons of forests up northern California that aren't overrun by tourists.
I love Zion, narrows is amazing and the observation point is also very good

get an america the beautiful pass for $80 to get into all national parks and monuments for a year. otherwise yosemite alone is $60 for a week.

>not visiting both
i go to yosemite 15+ times a year, and run all over sierra and inyo national forests another 15+ times a year. there's no reason except being a hipster contrarian faggot to completely rule out one or the other.

My nigga. Went canyoneering at Pine Creek with some friends last summer, checked out Angel's Landing and the Narrows while we were at it. Want to plan a trip back there soon, there was a lot of stuff we didn't see
