I'm 28, I work on IT and I want to live abroad for a few years (I'm portuguese).

Both my french and german are about A2 and I've narrowed down my choices between Hamburg and Brussels.

One of the reasons I'm leaving is because most of my friends are already marrying or also leaving to some other countries and there's nothing here for me anymore. I want to meet new people and have fun both by outdoor activities and clubbing.

I've visited Brussels once but I didn't like the city except for the city center but I found the social life of the city good, and while I never have been in Hamburg I've did Erasmus in Munich so I think I know what to expect from a German city and I'm fond of Germany. The main reason I'm choosing these cities is because I've heard these two are the best cities for meeting new people, expat/international scene, events, etc..

What do you guys recommend?
