Hey /trv/, this is my first time asking for your help. I have a dream.
I want to traver Europe on foot for a long period of time, and I don't plan on paying for rides or housing. Living like a homeless person. I have wanted this for a long time, but I don't know what things to watch out for and how to prepare.
Can you guys help me? I live in Finland and I am 19 years old.

Get a backpack and fill with shit you'll need,
don't be an idiot on the road and use common sense.
Anything else i can help with?

Do you have any money incase you need it?
It depends on what part of europe you want to visit, but i can tell you that being homeless here (northern holland) is no fun thing. It is cold, rains most days and the police will aproach you all the time
Its good to follow your dreams, but no need to risk you health

I do have money, but for example how hard do you think getting to stay in someones apartment is? People here are really nice, and I have hitchhiked before, sleeping in peoples houses, just by asking for a place to stay and helping with chores

Goddamn it, Finland. It's summer time. Can't you act normal just for a little while?

it should not be too hard to stay with people, although i would recommend you try and use couch surfing, you can even use it on very short notice.
what countries would you want to visit?
When do you plan on doing it OP? Where are you gonna start, what's your final destination? Where are you from?
If you decide to cross the Harz mountains I'll let you stay at my place for as long as you like.

>yet another "I have a dream" thread where someone is totally going to walk/bike/pogo across a continent
Stop. We have one of these threads every other day.
You're not going fucking anywhere, you're just jerking off to your "what if" fantasies. Not a single one of these threads has ever come to fruition. Most likely you've never been homeless and you've never walked even a 100 kilometers. Hell, chances are you've barely travelled, especially solo. You have zero idea what you're talking about and you've made zero progress in realizing your dream so far - not even the tiniest bit of easy to do research, which shows how dedicated you are to it all. You're as close to walking across Europe as a hobo as I am to becoming a space smuggler.
