Anyone here ever had laover in Moscow for less than 24 hours and was able to get transit visa and visit the city in the meantime?
I'm flying to Beijing in a month and I have 14 hours layover in SVO. I wanted to apply for transit visa and visit at least one part of the city, but I've heard they might require for me to stay over 24 hours to get this visa.
Anyone had this problem before? I don't want to spend money on an application they will automaticaly decline.
Similar scenario for me. So it turns out my outgoing and return flight will have a 10 hour and 20 hour layover in New Delhi respectively.
I was wondering whether I could get a transit visa, then just quickly leave the airport, catch a shuttle/bus and then explore Poo Capital of the World during this time?
It seemed to me direct flights through SVO did not need transit visa when i was talking to some dutch girls going to Thailand.... however everything i have read says you need it.
Dont fuck around with Russia, get the visa you need and do proper research. A transit visa may only allow you to be in the airport and not actually travel about the city.
Also SVO is a shitttttt airport, good luck. I have 3 year tourist visa and i travel there quite a bit as my entry hub before connecting, and i hate it every time. Have fun!
