I want to take a road trip with a couple of my friends along the Western US - starting from Arizona, going through California and Oregon, and ending in Seattle. I suggested the idea of an RV and everyone seemed to think it would be a good idea, but nobody really knows what we need for it. Passes? Restrictions? Suggestions? Any help would be appreciated as none of us have done anything similar before.

Where can I leave my RV for weeks or months at a time?
That way I can fly home and come back in a month to continue my road trip

Rent one.
Turn it back in.
Rent another later.

fly home and come back, dude what?
>where are you coming from
>what's your budget
>how many people
>how many licensed drivers
>buy pic related

What? I'm not planning on doing this.

Well, yeah, but I'm interested in the in-between parts. I know there are some places where you flat-out can't camp overnight or risk getting ticketed, but I don't know anything about RV travel.

for 3 people you'll be fine with a 21-25' rv, which you can drive with just a regular class c licence. it sounds ghetto, but all walmarts allow overnight camping in their lots.
and i forgot
>number of drivers old enough to drive a rental without negating insurance
depending on the company might be anywhere from 21 to 25 years old, which can be a problem sometimes here.

>regular Class C license
That's a commercial license for vehicles under 26k lbs which carries >16 people or transports hazardous materials, are you sure? Or am I misreading something? I know there are different 'classes' of RV's, I'm considering either a class A or class C (B/B+ doesn't appeal and I'd like something where we can pop back and forth / not have to stop and unfold)
https://www.azdot.gov/mvd/driver-services/commercial-driver-license/LicenseInfo/classes-of-licenses is where I got the information from.
>ghetto / walmart
I don't think any of us will be opposed to that as long as we lock it up and someone keeps watch or something.
>25 years old to rent
Damn, I forgot about this. We're all between 21-25 but last time I checked it was 25 to rent something.

shit, my bad, i'm thinking ca class c (that's the normal passenger vehicle license here). double check, but i'd be surprised if az has stricter regs for standard licenses than ca. you'll probably be okay with something like this, just not a behemoth like in your op.
re: age, sometimes "authorized drivers" have more lenient requirements, as long as the person signing for it is 25+.

and to clarify walmart, you can sleep in the rv there. you just won't have any power or water hook ups. if you want hoop ups look into getting a koa membership.
