I'm off to Mozambique next week (Saturday) for a few weeks doing a Diving Research Project.
Has anyone been to this part of Africa before? Any advice you could bestow upon me?
Will also be travelling through London for a couple of days waiting for my flight, and will be doing some Architectural Photography (Brutalism) so if anyone has suggestions on good sources, hmu xoxoxo

I lived there for 10 months so I can give you some advice if you can ask more specifically.
Take chapas and not taxis, always ask locals how much they pay for sth then insist on paying the same.
Mulungu means white boy in Changana and some other common local languages, you will hear it a lot
Learn some Portuguese if you can, it will make your life a lot easier as most people speak no english, especially outside Maputo.

Oh, just realized the diving part so I will just assume you are going to Inhambane or sth like that, the locals call it the "country of good people" and they are right, you will have a good time

Yeah I'm just in the Tofo area outside of Inhambane. Been learning some phrases too. I got plenty of time to practice whilst I'm there.
Thanks again.
I lived there for 2+ years in Sofala and Cabo Delgado. Went to all the provinces except Tete. Any specific questions? It's a big country there's a lot to talk about.

living somewhere for 10 months does not make you a local...they should have robbed your kook ass.
