Currently in Pune, India. Does anyone know where I might be able to find the Lotus Sutra scroll here? A friend is wanting me to bring it back.
What do you mean by 'the scroll?' As in, the original? Kek.
Just scroll form, I'm not Indiana fucking Jones.

What, I figure it's like the bible you know? I'm sure there's one original bible.. but there are many bibles at many gift shops.
ask your friend what he means exactly?
ask at a bookstore, maybe a specialized sanskrit bookstore?

If you are staying in a decent hotel, ask the concierge.
If you are not staying in a place with a decent concierge, drop by one and address the concierge thusly, "What cheer, my good man, I am going to be meeting a friend who is staying in this fine caravansarai, and have arrived for our rendezvous a smidgen on the early side. Rather than just sit and await his arrival, I'd like to do a bit of quick shopping to make best use of my time in this wonderful country! Can you direct me to a shop or other locale of trade where I might purchase a reproduction of the Lotus Sutra scrolls?"
your friend probably wants you to stop by at the famous Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute in Pune. I don't know if they sell manuscripts though.
