Hi /trv! Tomorrow I'll take a flight to Marrakech and I've never been there. We will stay for a whole week. Does someone know something interesting to do there? (excluding desert and visiting typical places)
You've picked the worst city in Morocco to visit. There's nothing to do there for a whole week except get high with other tourists and feel bad about yourself and the world.
Take a shared taxi to Asni or Imlil (don't pay more than 30dh) and go trekking in the mountains. Don't worry about finding a guide; they'll find you.

Thanks for the advice! Btw, will we find taxis to return to the city from those vilages?

What this guy says, Marrakech is kind of shit (don't do more than a day or two). Trekking in Imlil up to Toubkal is amazing
Here's an interesting article from someone who did it a couple of months ago:

Marrakech is shit but it is okay to use as a base to to interesting things.
First off, actually in Marrakech is the big souk, definitely go there.
After that, go to the High Atlas Mountains, perhaps the Ourika Valley and visit some berbers.
Also go to some sand dunes/desert, perhaps Merzouga?

Also good advice.

Yeah, those are well-traveled towns. With shared taxis, you have the option to pay for more than one seat if you don't want to sit around and wait for the vehicle to fill up.
