opinions... if you had 2-3 weeks to travel, and the options were Sicily, a Greek island or islands of your choosing, or Croatia. What would you pick and why?
Ok, obviously my thread is a fail... I guess what Im asking about is what are the big differences between these places, I have been to a few Greek islands. For a 30 something year old and a girlfriend.. looking for arts, music, food, beaches, and fun. Is there any big things to consider here?

I don't know, but Sicily always looked like a dump to me. I'd rather see any failed greek island than Sicily. I'm a humble man though, so I'd really spend all my time sitting on the beach thinking about Odysseus.
I have been to all three and could not recommend Croatia more, great culture, food and island hopping great. Greek Islands are also good, but chose the island carefully as some are just soul less party destinations. Italy is more of a culture and food destination and I'd recommend tuscany If you're going there.
I've been to Crete and Sicily so far.
If you're looking mainly for beaches and fun, go to a Greek island. Sicily's beaches tend to be average. Balos and Elafonisi beaches in Crete are amazing.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a nice dose of history, art and cuisine in addition to beaches, there's plenty to see in Sicily. Went to Palermo last year and I am going back in a month.
I've never been, but I hope to do an ancient greek tour eventually..
Thanks guys.. croatia might be the answer... enough of a party atmosphere, plenty of historical stuff.. beautiful coast lines.
Any highlights? Assuming I fly into Zagreb then head south along the coast. . Where are the best beaches? I have heard that the coast is not much for sand

Elafonnisi is over-rated as hell. Don't go there
