!!! DISREGARD !!!
>>1246281
Fuck you. Nobody cares about your autism map. OP's map is at least more realistic.
>>1246281
It honestly doesn't matter
It would be cool to add a category for "will visit this year."
>>1246260
I'm too afraid to visit DPRK but I may one day work up the courage. When I say "Want to go" for Somalia that's only for SOmaliland. I am planning to do Eritrea, Djibuti, Somaliland next year with some friends.
>>1246333
WHoops left out Azerbaijan, Georiga, and Armenia for "Want to go"
>>1246333
Do you even have time to sleep?
>>1246336
yeah, this was over quite a few years
I'll be honest, I got a little bit lazy with Europe. I do want to visit most of their countries, but I wasn't about to sift through a map to pick out which shape is which country, and then decide which I especially want to see.
>>1246260
When threads like these pop up, what do you guys "count" as a country you've been to?
Do you only count intentionally planned trips, or do you guys also count things like layovers and whatnot?
>>1246350
You shouldn't count it if you don't leave the airport.
Here you go
Amiricunt here
>>1246281
>he keeps posting the outdated map
>>1246298
>I had a layover in Frankfurt and want to color in all of Germany now.
>>1246281
For fuck's sake, I am so sick of this autism map.
Can somebody make a version that segregates large countries like Russia, China, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States into subdivisions, while not doing the same for smaller nations like Nicaragua, Greece, and South Korea?
I've been to about 33 or 34 countries, but most of them are pretty small.Don't see the sense in nitpicking over tiny-ass districts in Latin America or Eastern Europe.
Anyway, going to be in Ecuador tonight. Taking the bus to my airport in two hours, flying to FLL, and then landing in Quito at night.
Also doing Mexico in June, Tanzania in July, and Ethiopia and Egypt in September. Going to India for the eighth time in October.
>>1246420
This is my dream map:
>US divided into its individual states
>Canada divided into its individual provinces & territories
>Hong Kong & Macau as their own separate outlines, instead of being part of China by default
>simplified shape for easier filling
>>1246298
>>1246305
>I went to St Petersburg so let me color all of Siberia
>I went to Sydney so let me color all of Australia
>I visited NYC for 2 days so let me color all of America and Alaska
>I went to London so let me color Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, etc
>I went to... so let me color in... as well
How about no
>>1246426
>I went to Russia so let me color Russia
>I went to Australia so let me color Australia
>I visited America for 2 days so let me color America
>I went to the UK so let me color the UK
>>1246333
>as if anyone believes this
>>1246420
Greece is totally varied enough to warrant multiple subdivisions though.
>>1246281
Why are the European/Asian/African/South American countries divided into such autistically small sections, but the same courtesy isn't afforded to Canada & the US?
Prince Rupert, BC is not the same as Vancouver, BC.
>>1246431
Because it's a map representing each country's first level-administrative subdivisions, with some exceptions.
For the US it's the states, for Poland the voivodships, for Albania the qarks and so on.
>>1246427
I spent less than 15 minutes on Russian soil, roaming the Russian woods close to the Estonian border. You honestly think this justifies coloring in Kamchatka?

Fuck off
>>1246260
Honestly, the only places that I wouldn't fly to in a heartbeat if offered a ticket are the ones with extreme levels of crime (like half of Latin America) or malaria/tropic diseases everywhere.
The Russian military is a lot easier to reason with than insane cartels or diseases.
I once did a calculation. I've spent roughly 70% of my existence in one district of my town.
Can't wait to Bob Ross the shit out of this map starting next month.
>>1246794
wtf, Why is Greenland divided so much?
Here's a nonautistic map where only nations with an area of more than 7 million square km are divided

The northern part is called Somaliland, a kind of autonom region which is poor but stable. Whereas around Mogadischu you can buy personal bodyguards (aka some teens with AK's) for just 500 US dollars a day. Also make sure you don't take pictures of war lords or its associates.
>>1247425
hey dude, i southern mali is safe and realy cool to go to.
pls help me escape more
Honestly I'd love to visit every country but the ones not coloured in are the ones I realistically wont see.

What's wrong with Israel? It seems like a great place to visit for a bit.

>>1247570
oh. well im also not interested in their culture in the slightest. israeli girls are probably ugly af.
hottest women in the world title goes to spain hands down. (of the countries i visited)
>>1247576
I agree that Spanish girls are great, but you're wrong about Israelis my dude. Look up IDF girls.
>>1246260
If I need more shots than I have fingers before visiting a place then fuck that place.
>>1246260
Using a different map, but here's where I have been, what travel is booked at the moment, and some of the places on my "try an get there soon" list. I don't have (m)any places I would never go -- though some places I'd not go right now, largely due to safety issues, never is a long time and situations on the ground change.
>>1247580
>IDF girls
damn, that's definitely a fetish
>>1247583
One way of showing where you have been without coloring in sections of map you never got near -- even maps broken down into states or districts have that problem.
Here is another.

>>1246429
do you want me to post proof? Also AMA about my travels. I'm also 32 so I'm older than a lot of all you and have traveled extensively.
>>1247697
Was easier to do "fast and dirty." You could draw great circle routes if you feel the urge.
>>1247709
even 32 is pretty young to have visited like 50% of the globe if you aren't rich or on disabled benefits/leeching off of your parents
>>1247750
Assuming anon is North American, that easily takes care of USA/Canada/Mexico/Caribbean.
Asia, especially the south(eastern) parts, are generally cheap enough to travel to. Northeast Asia would be more expensive, but not terribly so.
A good chunk of Europe can be easily taken care of with a bus or train.
I don't have much experience with South America, but it looks doable.
The only one I have trouble believing is Africa & the middle-east.
>>1247483
$500 is expensive as fuck. Sounds interesting though. Any photos ?
>>1247779
Even if it's expensive, it sounds fucking hilarious.
I don't have the time (or knowledge of regions) to fill out the countries I want to see, I just chose this map because it shows which states I've been to.
My want to list:
- Rest of US
- Rest of Mexico
- Germany
- Japan
- UAE
- Argentina
- Taiwan
- Australia

I find it rather interesting that literally the only Asian country you wish to immediately visit is Nepal.
Most people usually want to go somewhere more popular, or don't wish to go to Asia at all.
But hey, there's nothing wrong with Nepal.
>>1248978
I should have worded it so it said that the places in orange are the places I want to go to the most, not necessarily the places I'll end up going to next. Realistically the first place I go in Asia will probably be SK or SEA.
Nepal is probably my number 1 place out of anywhere that I want to visit though, I really want to do a trek but I need to train myself a lot more first.

Which place should I prioritize, /trv/? Consider that:
- I travelled abroad last March/April, that I can save up to US$ 100/month
- I could take another 30 days of vacation now this year if I wanted, but I can postphone it to next year (when I could take more 30 days)
- A plane trip to Europe costs approximately US$ 1k
- A plane trip to US costs approx. US$ 900
- I prefer to travel at low season (April/May and October/November).

Also, not bad I guess but compared to the others here it's not a lot.

Most racists are simpletons, and would never travel to Africa anyway.
>>1250480
It really depends on where you live right now. I don't like it personally, and I'm planning to move to Europe next year. Cost of living is really high right now, and going up fast with the influx of tech workers taking jobs from Amazon and Microsoft. Like $1400/month for a shitty studio. The outdoors are pretty nice, but unless you really like the rain and cold temperatures it's only nice during the summer.
Seattle freeze is a real thing, most people here like to be left alone and are very passive aggressive. Many times even if you make plans with them they will flake out at the last minute. Also, a good amount of the people here are actual social justice warriors like you see online, literally genderqueer transblack whalekin shit, if that matters to you at all.
There are some nice things about living here though if you can get past the initial shitty weather and shitty people. There's a ton of good restaurants and cuisines from all over the world, especially Asia. It's also just a really pretty place, both in terms of the city and the surrounding terrain. Where do you live atm?

Anybody know a good way to generate a great circles travel map? I have tried Googling around -- I find places that you could make such a map, but they want flight numbers and shit, which who the fuck remembers, and I have found places that allow you to draw a unsavable map of one route at a time.
Somebody must have a site or software or something to draw a map of the world with the various routes you've flown on a savable map.
>>1251329
>You don't wanna go to islamic countries
Tell that to the people who visit (and move) to places like Bahrain, UAE and Oman. It's not even REAL TRAVELERS™, it's average tourists and workers.
Just do what you preach and don't force your culture down their throat when you visit.
