I purposely choose locations, times, events etc. that they either won't or can't follow me to. I assumed eventually they would get over their issues and join, but somehow they haven't, sometimes it's disappointing but for the most part I enjoy the space.

As a socially inept nerd who travelled alone, trips are easymode for socialisation. You meet other gringos and instantly you have a motive to talk to each other, easy topics of conversation. You'll often get invited to have drinks and do shit.

Lots of asian girls and latinas love socially inept nerds from rich countries that are white. Especially if you're blonde and/or blue-eyed.

Traveling with friends/family/tour groups can be a stifling experience. There's always that someone who wants to take it slow, or speed things through. There's also the picky eater who will refuse to try certain things, or certain restaurants. You also might not be able to do the things you want because the rest of the group outvoted you, or because there's not enough time in the schedule.

Solo traveling is the fucking best.

You have all that freedom to do things exactly the way you want, but the best part is that you actually understand how your wants/needs work in your head, you learn to understand yourself more. Therefore, when you are having a good time, you are REALLY having a good time, not just pretending it which is what happens sometimes when you travel with more people.

Yes. I travel to South East Asia alone all the time, and I am very autistic. My akward behavior isn't weird to them since I am a foreigner, and local hookers are ok with it as well, plus they are relatively cheap
