Hi /trv/, I'm travelling to Seoul with my family for a few days in July and I've been given the task of building an itinerary. My question is, what are some family oriented things to do in Seoul and the surrounding area?
The youngest of us is my sister who is 20, and the eldest is my father at 60. We're quite a fit family and walking all day isn't a problem. We're interested in art (both contemporary and traditional), history and culture, and trying new foods.
We're interested in participating in a JSA tour, however, I can't find any companies undertaking tours in July due to tensions with NK (from what I understand), but I could be wrong.
Thank you for any suggestions you guys come up with.

- Shop in Itaewon
- Walk down part of Cheonggyecheon, the urban river park
- Slightly more challenging, walk the old city walls up Bukaksan.

- Much more challenging: hiking up Bukhansan, in the national park, adjoining the climbing peak Insubong. We're talking cable ways, steep as shit. But views are extraordinary

- Sample day:
- Spend a morning running around the palaces, Changdeokgung and Gyeongbokgung. Be sure to see the palace guard changing.
- Then eat a massive Korean lunch.
- Then walk around Bukchon Hanok Village and shop for souvenirs.

- It's gonna be HOT. Hydrate.
- Go at the 60 y.o. pace, not the 20 y.o. pace or you'll flatline grandpa.

Hahah funnily enough, my father is the fittest out of all of us - or at least as fit as me. He cycles 80km a day as well as jogging and swimming a few kms every other day.
It's my mother who I'm a bit concerned about, but no so much with stamina, more with climbing stairs or hills.
