There are these parks where animals literally have no fear of humans. The city of Nara actually has a deer park where the deer walk up to you and you could literally strangle them with your bare hands, there is also a rabbit island and stuff like that. Find one of these places and wait until dark when noone will see, and just take out one of those animals. You need to be sure you know how to discreetly butcher them so that you dont leave any obvious trails, because a foreigner doing something like cont....

the easiest way to avoid detection would probably be to just walk the perimeter constantly and kind of make a track between suburban areas and farms between the three cities of nara, kyoto, and osaka. i would start off by heading to nara for the deer though, and then after you have one pack the meat up and hike out of there as fast as possible. camp out in the woods for a while and make your way to osaka, just eating the deer meat on the way. you could probably just keep that cycle up for a few years until you figure out the path you want to take in life. If it were me I would only go to Nara for the hunting though, and spend my settling time in osaka and kyoto.
if this gets old I would recommend just pretending like you lost your passport and wandering into a more urban area in search of some of the nigerian or west asian immigrants. tell them you lost all your paperwork and you are just really not in the mood to deal with authorities. approach enough of them with this story, and you should end up with some sort of odd job or at the very least the start of a networking opportunity that will either get you out of the country or a means to survival. Bullshit meme. Conbini (like most stores in Japan) have security cameras all over the place. They may let you walk out with things, but if they do they'll be on the phone to the police immediately. The police will have your picture from the security camera footage and will then compare it against the picture they took of you at immigration when you arrived in the country. The police here have very little to do and are very happy/willing to spend a lot of hours tracking your sorry ass down.
