When are you going? I would also like to socialize, Id think hostels are a good place. I would like to access some more remote locations like San José which looks tough to do by train or bus, so making friends and having a car ride would be fantastic.

Take a pill in Ibiza. Seriously.

Stay in party hostels. Barcelona has an amazing nightlife and people are looking to party. Just talk to your roommates or people in the common room - where you from, where you been blah blah blah and ask if they want to go out later.

Most Spaniards do not speak any English. Try to stick to places frequented by Northern European looking people.

If you get to interact with a real Spaniard, keep in mind that his/her concept of personal space and noiseness will be very different from a regular Northern European's.

Avoid eye contact with beggars and gypsies (a South Asian looking folk).

Are Spanish girls easy if you speak their language decently well? Like as easy as most latino countries?

I can't speak about other cities, but in Barcelona girls are so used to being hit on you better have good game.
