Headed to Charleston for a weekend. Any tips? Restaurant recommendations? Things to see? Cheers!
Local here:
http://xiaobaobiscuit.com/ is the best restaurant in CHS.
But...
Hominy Grill across the street is a bit more southern. Have to get shrimp and grits at least once.
It is imperative that you go to at least one brewery. I suggest Revelry or Holy City.
This site will let you know about stuff going on.

Walking tours are actually fantastic. You can walk around the city and fall in love with how quaint and beautiful it is, but having a guide will give you the history. I have been on like 5 since being here.

There's also a Mexican place near there that is pretty good
Husk, minero, mccradys. I'm a fangirl. If you can't get into husk, go to the bar (its the carriage house next to the restaurant) and get the artillery punch and boiled peanuts

Also local. I agree that walking/carriage tours with a guide to give you history is best. Other than that, just eat, drink and relax. There's really not much to do... It's not NYC, LA or Miami. It's small and until about a decade ago, unknown.
Other stuff: An aquarium, Fort Sumter if you're a history buff and beaches (too cold to swim but weather is good for relaxing out there)
