Sup /trv/,
so me and a group of friends (20yo) have 11 days to spend in Lithuania and Poland.
How would you allocate 11 days to these cities?

>Vilnius
>Warsaw
>Krakow

Throw me your favourite spots for food, sights, hiking/mountaineering trips/ideas, amusement parks, casinos.. anything worthwhile really.

>inb4 Auschwitz camp
That goes without saying

Any1 wanna meet up? we're cool

Is Kaunas worth seeing or staying at?
>>
>>1227373
Krakowian here

Warsaw isn't worth it (well, unless you're much interested in WWII museums and stuff), change it for Lublin. Auschwitz isn't this good, pretty boring in fact and one-sided so to say. Hair or personal things may impose some efect on you, the rest is meh.
Vilnius is fantastic, spend most of your time there.

Also, where are you from?

Was in Krakow last summer

Great looking old town. Only downside is that in the evenings, it is taken over by British lads on stag parties along with groups of Polish lads getting drunk. So if you're single, then you lads will have to get out of the tourist meme areas if you want to meet girls.

That was my experience, anyway.

>also we didn't bother going to Auschwitz
>just do a bike tour around the city and you'll hear enough about Schindler, Jews and whatnot.

Lithuanian here, from Vilnius, Kaunas is jokingly the largest pit stop as there is absolutely nothing to see apart from 9th fort / castle, everything good is in Vilnius, I would substitute Kaunas to a small town of Trakai (about 20 km from Vilnius) and see the medieval castle in the middle of the lake, also try some of local Karaim cuisine (kibinai), you won't regret

I recommend the salt mines near krakow, pretty awesome experience and cheap if you get there by regular bus instead of organized tours
I didn't find Vilnius that interesting, although it's cheap as fuck for food and booze.
I actually kinda enjoyed warsaw although it has a bad reputation.

>Krakowian here
How much money would I have to have per month to actually live there for a prolonged amount of time?
>>
>>1227556
I spend an average of 15zl/day on food and you can go as cheap as 10zl/day if you are smart enough, while still eating good and tasty (assuming you cook it yourself of course)
Hostels are around 40zl/day, maybve you can find something cheaper.
The cheapest rent is 300zl/month, but it's very hard to find. More realistic would be 400/500zl/month. Water, electricity, etc. should cost around 100zl/month.

Beer in a shop is between 2-6zl. Beer in a bar is 6-12zl

But honestly? if you can chose, pick Lublin instead. The city's very climatic, similar to Kraków in many respects, but a bit cheaper (10-15%) and has clean air. And air is simply terrible in Kraków.

I agree, the mines are pretty cool.
Never buy a trip in the office, it costs twice or thrice as much as what you actually have to pay. This applies to Auschwitz as well.

>>1227534
Sure, why not!
But it depends when, because I travel quite a bit nowadays and I'm more often than not outside of the city.
So more than a week before you come I won't even be able to tell what my plans will look like
>>
Some touristee places in Vilnius (direct translation): Gediminas' castle, Television tower and Cat Café :)
As someone said you shouldn't miss Trakai as the castle is pretty neat plus the souvenir area outside it is pretty big

>that rent
Maybe for a room in an apartment with 2 or 3 other people.
>>
>>1227652
