has anyone on here been successful with a instagram + travel blog? just wondering if it's even lucrative. I'm not talking big money, but is it reasonable to make 1k if you stick to a plan with a travel blog/instagram and treat it professionally? what does it take? does anyone here do it already? all thoughts/recommendations welcome.

Bumping for interest
related fact: an Instagram account with 50k followers makes 200-400 bucks a month

Yes, but you have the wrong approach to it, it's a hobby that can turn into something profitable if done right not the other way around. Else you could as well do the usual marketer stuff, pump and dump a few IG accounts with a affiliate link and earn more money in less time and with less effort.
>I'm not talking big money, but is it reasonable to make 1k if you stick to a plan with a travel blog/instagram and treat it professionally?
Sure but it will take a lot of time and effort because you sell yourself and not a product until you reach the point where someone says "this guy should sell our product and we gonna pay him for it" or your viewers say "hey you got a patreon? I love your stuff and think it's worth $x/months"
>create a brand for you
>get good equipment, nobody wants to see a 360p potato video with lousy audio and edited in MS moviemaker
>create good content and not "click muh link la" shit
>build a fanbase, most travel blogs fail here
The public decides, if you're just a shitty cunt that nobody likes your journey is over at this point and there's nothing you can do about it
>interact with your fanbase
>create new content every 2-4 days, longest time you can go without new content is 14 days or your account becomes stale
>you attract more and more followers and can actually influence people
>the one year mark passes
>suddenly you get approached by "sponsors" to review products, sponsor a vid etc. If you fuck up here you will kill your presence...
So to sum up the above: You now have a part-full-time hobby that YOU have to bankroll with 3-4k per month to keep the content up while it earns you about $500-1000/months and a few free trips/products to review until your community grows to a critical mass a year or two past the above...
And before you ask, no you can't streamline the process by throwing money at it for fake views/followers/fans.

Op here. Thank you and to the other comments.
I know it's not easy and probably not as rewarding as many make it out to be unless you're a blonde 23 year old who poses her ass in every photo (a la sarah underwood). But i agree the ones that i like actually provide content and is likeable like snapchick who was not so much a travel blogger but a photo enthusiast. And yeah not just anyone can do it. I'm thinking more and more it could be a collective group so you share the expenses, time, all the while learning about yourself. I've thought about it some more so that i already do the cool stuff i just dont brag about it.. that comes second.
Thank you again..more comments are always appreciated.
I was looking to get income and travel
most of the older dudes have housing rented out in the west so making good money to live like a king overseas and others from US Aus ect was making pretty good money with their porn site Asian meat market
I am following this travel photographer https://www.youtube.com/user/bvans890
He recently started talking more about how the business side works, how much money he makes from blogging, Instagram, YouTube etc.

Hope that helps

It really depends. A friend of mine has 20,000 followers and lives quite well of it and the work it gets her. (Germany)

Yep, but group effort always means you're only as good as your worst guy. So if you have 4 top lads and one cunt that wants to leech your brand is already dead.
It's fun but a shitload of work. At the point where I made good money from it, it became a second 100% job on steroids.
I traveled a lot for my job, so I made vids related to it, had a blast and suddenly I woke up in the morning looked at my "to film schedule" and said fuck it, I'm done with that shit.
Go take a look at the top travel bloggers. 9 out of the top 10 all have one thing in common and I highly doubt you have that, OP.

Eat a dick.
Thanks all for the comments and feedback. I've been considering a fishing/hunting/hiking/climbing blog that coincides with my travels. All those activities are my passion and i rather work to improve my time with them all the while trying to earn a dime on them.
Been working a desk job far too long so i have the money to do so and am able to do it considering no debt.

Why are you mad? Not everyone can be a good looking 21yo girl that is willing to post thong shots on instagram every day.

Is it a vagina?
>>1218439
This guy gets it.
>>1218252
Yes, you can be successful if you're hot, have big tits, and post pics of yourself in a bathing suit wherever you visit

You mean OP won't get a million followers with his blog about a normal dude fishing/hunting/hiking/climbing? Well i'll be fucked.
