So I quit my job and as they didn't want me to work for them anymore, nor go to a competitor , I have been given 2 months of 'gardening leave'. This means I'm contractually obliged to work for the company but they don't want me to be in the office- nor give me work to do.
Where would you go?
Job search and returning/career life excluded, what would you do travel wise?
I'm 25 and have never travelled solo before, but I'd be up for it. Is 25 a normal age for 'youth' hostels?
I've been doing the same boring job for 3 years and it reached breaking point without me haiving found a new one, and I have a real desire for some sort of (sorry for the extreme cliche) challenge or awakening.
Asia? Europe?
I'm based in London.
shameless bump
no ideas?
From what I've read germany would be interesting for a week potentially.

I'd take a class, get some new certification. What is your business that there are competitors? This is so odd.

I don't think hostels actually have an age limit (or at least I don't think it's a standard). I believe they're only called "youth" hostels because they're designed for low-budget travelers, and guess what age group has the least amount of money to their name? Typically young people.
I'm a whole three years older than you, and I've stayed in hostels. I don't think I could be considered "young" by any measure.

You're already in Europe. Do Asia if that's one of the places you're thinking about. You can visit places in Europe later when you have less time.
Anyone can stay at a hostel, never seen one with an age limit. At 25 you will fit in well, don't even worry about it.
